  1. Hey Isetta, Cheers for the info - I've taken a look but it's fully charged and outputting the correct voltage. The reason I'm thinking it's the starter motor is because it's clicking and sounds like it's stressed.
  2. Hi all, Been some time since I've been active on here! I've actually got rid of my fiesta recently but I'm having problems with my parents Fiesta now. I've noticed that over recent weeks (more days) it's taken a while for the car to start. Yesterday I looked to start the car and it was *very* juddery and finally started. Today I received a phone call from my mum who's mentioned that the car will now no longer start. The battery on the car was recently changed, so I don't think that this is it. I'm looking at purchasing one from Euro Car Parts (Link) and then fitting it myself as they currently have 30% off too. Does anyone have any form of instructions to replace this part? I've done some searching and can find bits and bobs - But I cannot find an exact instructions. I'm pretty competent with engines and cars so it shouldn't be a problem but just want to confirm before going all out. Thanks!
  3. Hi all! :D I've recently (yesterday) fitted an induction kit to my Fiesta and was questioning about the oil pipe coming from the engine into the factory air box. Now the induction kit I have doesn't feature any place to put said pipe so I'm a little confused in what my options are, I have been told the following: - Leave it hanging (as pictured below) - Get a small cone filter/breather for it. - Get a Oil Catch Tank. Now, I assume, the idea of this pipe is an 'output' of gas rather than an intake of air, which goes through your engine to get ride of any harmful fumes however, please correct me if this is not the case. I've tried searching but cannot find a decent answer from someone who really knows their stuff. I don't want to leave it hanging and something harmful happen! Is it just the case maybe of getting a small cone filter for this? I've seen other photos of peoples induction kit (like the one below) and it simply has a cone on this. Any help is appreciated on this, I would rather spend money and be safe :)
  4. Hi all, Does anyone know what the right PAS fluid is for the Mk6 Fiesta? Can't seem to find it anywhere! If anyone can help please do! :) If not I'll just need to remember to have a look tomorrow in my manual but I've been a busy bee at work so haven't had chance and forgot pick it out tonight :(
  5. As they're both Carb you shouldn't be needing to change the Loom. I used to own a 1.3 Fiesta but I've heard that 1.1 to 1.3 conversions are pretty straight forward. From another website 'Any of the CVH or Zetec range will go in. The biggest Zetec available from new in the MK3 was the 1800 in the RS and the 1600 also featured in the Ghia and java models.
  6. So yeah, turns out it was looking right at me. I had changed one of the fuses (Which intact didn't need changing) and didn't change the other one.... All fixed I believe! Note: If anybody else has this problem change both fuses! :P
  7. Hi guys, need some help here as I've got a little problem with my number plate lights. The left one was flickering for some time so I did replace the bulb to see if it was this, to my surprise it was still flickering. So, I opted to go for two new clusters, but upgraded (all in one LED Modules) ones. When I popped the boot it worked, great, however... I did it again to get back into the boot and it no longer worked :( This also means that my dashboard lights (aka clocks, heater controls) no longer light up. Heres what I've done so far to try and resolve it: Changed the fuse, I changed F20 (7.5A) to a 10A fuse (Although the 7.5 didn't look blown). Changed back to the old clusters, but to still no joy. Taken a multimeter to the cables, power is outputted when the boot is popped. Any other ideas? It cannot be the whole loom as the Windscreen wiper, jets and boot pop still work! Stuck for ideas, not exactly please either being as I drive at night so don't really want to get pulled and then be known to the police. Plus it's an MOT failure as far as I know which isn't great!
  8. Hi all, So you may (or may not know) I replaced my mk3 Fiesta with a Mk6 Fiesta. I've been trying to sell my mk3 since October (54K Genuine, MOT till Aug - £600) now in my opinion I think that's a fair price HOWEVER, two things are 'technically' wrong with it. The first is the passenger lock which doesn't unlock from the outside, yeah, I could just replace the door but it's just effort when I did fine without it. The second is the window passenger winder which snapped. Needs a new regulator but no points of fixing it again because It didn't fuss me. Now, I want rid of it, in your opinions what would be the most beneficial when it comes to money vs time and effort. For example, 'Selling the vehicle you may get £xxx for it and will sell' or 'You could break it and get £xxx for just the engine'. Your opinions are key as I'm not sure what I want to do with it!   9. So, little update on the coloured Air Vents. I've finished them! *yaaay* ;) So, I was going to do a step by step guide but I forgot :( So, Please see the information below on what I did (below the photos). I'm so proud of these, they really do have that metallic look, the same as the fezza! *INSTRUCTIONS* Okay, I got: 1x Grey Primer 1x colour 1x Lacquer 1x Mixture wet/dry sandpaper (260, 600, 800, 1200) All from Halfords. Also got some tattoo gloves as they stop the oils from your hands going on (eBay 99P for 10) So the order I did it in: 1. With the 260 paper sanded down the rings. 2. Then did the 800 grit to smooth it a little bit. 3. Washed the rings and let them dry. 4. Hit them with a coat of light primer. 5. Waited 20 minutes (15 minutes to touch but I always wait 5 or more minutes) 6. Hit them with a second coat of primer. Waited 30 minutes. 7. Hit them with a coat of colour. (Now, I did try wet sanding with 1200 but it just took the primer off in little parts so I didn't do it) 8. Waited 20 minutes 9. Hit them with a second coat of colour. 10. Waited 20 minutes 11. Hit them with a third and final coat of colour. 12. ***This time I waited 45 minutes before anything else**** 13. Hit them with the first coat of lacquer. 14. Waited 20 minutes 15. 2nd coat. 16. 20 minutes. 17. 3rd coat 18. Waited an hour and a half. Done!
  10. I had this with my Mk3, couldn't get rid of it! It's just the way that it seems to be. Was never after a long journey, only short ones.

  12. So! Since October, I've been busy, working on the car, also focusing on Work, looking for new jobs etc. SO heres but update on the Fiesta. Right, as you can see from the post above I added my Blue interior LED's. First thing I did was got my Private plates on the Fezza :D I'd been sat looking at these for a long long time and finally had the funds to buy them :) As the Surname is 'Sammut' I came up with the 'S19 MUT' Which I treated to myself as an early (about 4 months) birthday present for my 19th :D I feel the 19 looks like an A as well, so ye :) Second thing I added was Gel Overlays from DMB, now as you lot probably know these guys are brilliant, work quality, customer service and everything is amazing, would recommend! So I added the Blue on white Gel overlays, love them so much! Next thing I did was purchase a K&N Air Filter, now I went for the conventional Panel filter, didn't fancy going for the 57i Cone filter as the money difference compared to the Panel filter was crazy! I also thought that although the car will sound nice the money just wasn't worth it. So the Panel filter is in :) 2MPG Extra I found! Not bad! Next was the de-badge! Got fed up for the 'Fiesta' & 'Zetec' Badges, I figured that after playing with photoshop the car would look better imo! So, here it was as it stood Christmas time! (Notice the FOC sticker in the back as well ;)) Later I also took out the dealer sticker from the window. Okay! So, Into 2014! 'New Year, new me' Facebook Statuses etc, however, not for me! New year, new mods! So, I finally bit the bullet. I went for the Fiesta ST Seats that I've wanted for AGES! Pretty mint condition, was 35 minutes drive from me and for £260 I couldn't say no! So, grabbed the Merc sprinter from work and away I went with a good friend of mine. Two hours laters I had my Fiesta ST seats. First thing I did was get up early on the Sunday and went to get some VAX cleaning gel, as the person I bought it from has smoked the seats smelt a little bit! So after two hours, my ST seats were clean and looking mint! Last thing I've done is wind deflectors! Two front ones, not yet put the back ones on! So, that's the Fezza atm. I'm currently in the middle of painting the interior vents etc. Today I took them off, sanded and prepped them! Will keep you all updated! :D

  14. Hey all, So I bought some Fiesta ST seats AND fitted them, to say the least I'm chuffed to pieces, however, One thing is annoying me. The back seats, the ones with the 'two seats' on which folds down, doesn't, and from what I can tell the latch is broken as it's loose. I've only notice this now after putting it all in place as I wanted to get the headrests on :( From looking at it there is a bit of plastic, which is released when you pull the latch/handle out and the red section pops up, however this is not working. Anyone got any ideas/suggestions, they'd all be appreciated!
  15. Hi all, So, I was looking and seriously thinking could I fit the Fiesta ST (Mk6 style, believe it's the ST 1?) seats into my 2008 MK6 Fiesta. Looking at the back seats they'll fit straight in, however will the front seats be the same? Doesn't matter what I search I cannot find an answer. I found one forum in total which someone has asked the question and everyone said yes but I wanted to double-check with everyone here as I'd prefer an answer from today not 4 years ago :) I want to be able to just slot the old ones out and put the ST ones in. These are the seats in question, I can see that someones put them in a Transit so I think it'll be fine but yeah!: Any ideas/know hows are appreciated. Thinking about picking them up this weekend.
