Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Ford Fiesta Mk 7 Alloy Size

Yh, I am fully aware of the diameter of the rim, I am more interested in the fitment parameters.
  2. Hey guys. Apologies in advance if this has already been asked, but I could not find it anywhere. I am looking for the exact size of Ford Fiesta mk7 62 plate pre MCA alloy size. I managed to find that the distance between holes is 4*108, but what is the size of the center hole? Besides, any of you tried fitting rims with a larger center hole and then adding the adjusting nuts onto it? Thanks in advance
  3. Fiesta Mk7 Drl Fitting Guide!

Wilko, would the Halo rings be something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-2-x-70mm-YZF-R1-CCFL-HALO-SUPER-BRIGHT-6000K-Angel-Eye-Rings-STUNNING-LOOK-/170814608172?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27c558132c Would it be possible to ask you to update the guide? I am planning to do this upgrade myself at some point. It would be really helpful, thank you!
  4. Telematics Box

Got the admiral insurance without the telematics box today... I decided that I am grown up enough so that no one would look over my shoulder and see how much I press the gas pedal... Ended up paying only 60 quid more, just had to increase the voluntary access. I kinda liked the idea of telematics box, but the fact that they monitor what time of day you drive is just simply ridiculous. If I drive at night, it doesn't mean that I am going sideways with a hand on the hanbrake at 100 mph racing another kid. Maybe I just like to put some calming r'n'b music on volume 4 at 00:30 and simply go to see a girl who lives at the other side of the town. Got a bit emotional there :D Anyways, thanks for advice guys!
  5. Telematics Box

Nath, thanks again buddy! it was supposed to be a ) and b ) , wasn't trying to put the cool smile on , jokes :DDD
  6. Telematics Box

What they said is that info stored on telematics box will only be used by them, they are not allowed to share it with another company... Your points are clear and valid, however the price goes up by a whopping thousand pounds if you choose not to have one... I have to decide until next week... I got a quick question about voluntary access: If you increase to let's say 500 pounds, does this mean that a) you will have to pay 500 quid only when you are guilty for the accident? B) you are not guilty for the accident, but when you take it to the garage you still have to pay 500 out of your pocket? Thanks in advance!
  7. Telematics Box

This would probably be more relevant to young drivers. So as you all probably know, insurance for young drivers in this country is crazy expensive. However, when I was looking for a cheap one, I found that a couple of providers (Bell, Insure the box, etc..) can provide a cheap insurance. However, only under the circumstance of installing a telematics box in your car, can you insure your vehicle with that company. What are your opinions on this? Are any of you aware of the restrictions that the box has and how it measures your driving performance? The insurance broker could only say general things like don't brake too hard or don't do any wheel spins or hand brake turns.... He also mentioned that if you go faster than 100 mph your insurance is void immediately. So do you know anything about how they measure if you corner at high speeds, and do some winter sliding etc??
  8. New 2012 Fiesta E Brochure

New Econetic diesel fuel consumption... -.- 3.3l/100km combined.... Seriously, it would be more expensive to travel with a bicycle than with that car....
  9. Bigger Rims Effect

Thanks Nath! I promise to start a new topic this evening! :D In the meantime, another quick q: Has any of you tried changing pedals? I mean something like this : http://www.ebay.co.u...5#ht_3937wt_952 Is it worth doing that? Do those fit well and not wobble around? I probably would not want to spend 25+ quid on sparco pedals so I was just wondering what you guys think about it? Also, I am trying to make up my mind between these two types of footwell mats: http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_1102wt_1139 http://www.ebay.co.u...6e#ht_678wt_952 I am not sure if the second one are suede-type mats or just rubber though. I am a bit afraid that the interior will end up being like a Coca-Cola Christmas tree if I buy the red mats as well. ( I have ordered red bulbs for footwell already) Thoughts are welcomed and much appreciated!
  10. Bigger Rims Effect

Hey guys, I wanted to avoid creating a new topic so will just post here. Picked up my Fiesta from the dealer yesterday ! Yay :D It really does put a massive smile on my face when I look at it :) Probably, because it is my first car... Will upload some pics this evening hopefully! Anyway, my question is about the electric windows : The driver's window does open automatically , i.e. when you press the button once you can release it and it goes all the way down, unless you stop it yourself. While passenger's window , it is still automatic obv, but you have to hold the button and release it whenever you want the window to stop. I would prefer to have passengers window as 'automatic' as the driver's one. I hope this makes sense. I was wondering if it was manufacturing failure or is this just how it works? Thanks for your answers in advance.
  11. ! Guide ! Mk7 Fog Lamp Change

I know this is an old topic but still seems very useful! Chris, Is fitting led fog lamps and using them legal?
  12. Photoshoot Of My Car

I actually found this channel on youtube by watching the NSX extended for the first time. Check out the we write the streets trailer! http://vimeo.com/49502245 The dvd is coming out next week Ah mate, I'll probably get the sticker as well! Do you think it is easy to remove the sticker after a year or so?
  13. Fiesta Mk7 Drl Fitting Guide!

I've just had a discussion with my colleagues and they said that it might be illegal to tint the front and rear lights. Is that the case or is it only that you cannot alter the lamp itself?
  14. Photoshoot Of My Car

Yeah mate, I still watch the gtr video every day :D And to be perfectly honest, yesterday evening I ordered the 'We Write The Streets' DVD about German drift scene. :)
  15. Wow sambooka, those wheels look sick! If it is not a secret, what would an approximate for such rims? By the way, did you inform your insurance company about changing the rims?
