Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Fusion 1.4 Tdci Remap Chip From Ebay

None of the claims they make are true they are simply variable resistors in a box. Do a google search for "IAT resistor mod" it will explain how they work Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  2. Fusion 1.4 Tdci Remap Chip From Ebay

Avoid them they simply trick the ecu into thinking the outside air is colder than it really is causing the car to over-fuel Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  3. My Fez Named Melissa :)

Does the car ride/handle any different with the spacers? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  4. 20% tint will give the factory look and will be a bit darker than the factory tinted titaniums. 35% looks good in the winter but too light in the sun. 50%+ u would barely notice it. I recommend getting 20% if only tinting the rears any darker than that would make it difficult reversing at night
  5. 1.6 Zetec S Tdci Cooling Fan

Mine has a dpf and does the same after a hard thrash, look at the instant consumption before turning the car off if its above 0.2g/hr it means a regen has just taken place Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  6. I recently had to take the front door card off to fix some rattles however after this i noticed a new rattle, on further inspection it seems as if the 3 door clips have weakend and rather than clipping in theY simply bend up against the door card hence causing the new rattle due to the card sitting loose. I can get a set of clips off ebay but i was wondering if some anti rattle style clips from a car such as e46 bmw's would do a better job? anyone had any experience with this?
  7. Fiesta Mk7 Hid Problems!!

HID's wont fit over the original bulb catch in the mk7. In order to fit them this is what you have to do. Firstly you need to push the negative spade of the HID bulb into the brown wire side on the bulb catch and the red postive wire into the red and black wire size as such: Then you need to clip the bulb into the original bulb holder ( i cut mine in order to get it to fit over the wires): Then it should look like this with the bulb in place: tuck everything away and splice the headlight grommet enough so that the wires can come out to connect to the ballast. I taped my ballasts underneath the light. Hope this helps. Make sure you get the aim adjusted by a garage afterwards as HID's usually aim higher than the standard bulbs
  8. Adrian Flux Shocked Me Today.....

Adrian Flux are only ever cheaper than others if the car is heavily modified
  9. Mk7 Rear Bumper Insert On A Mk7.5?

Where did u get the exhaust trim from?
  10. Number Plate Leds

Dont think you would get pulled for bright number plate lights its makes ur plates easier to read at night. Personally i went for these http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/111259038615?nav=SEARCH they give a nice white colour like yours but are only as bright as the normal bulbs so look more oem
  11. Electric Window Switch Not Sitting Right

Thanks for the replies i ended up taking the doorcard off to make a more permanent solution, I covered the damaged area in sound deadening to hold cracked wood in place and to allow for some flexibility to allow the clip to go in and used stoney's idea of a metal piece under the clip so the switch no sits firm with no play.
  12. Electric Window Switch Not Sitting Right

It appears as if ive damaged the wooden area surrounding the switch it bends up when the switch clips in. any ideas on a fix?
  13. Electric Window Switch Not Sitting Right

Its locking into place i can hear the click the back clip sits tight and the front one has some play in it hence why it dont sit flush, i tried moving the clip outwards and inwards and it still sits the same
  14. Whenever a passenger had the arm resting on the arm rest on the door i noticed that the switch would make an annoying creaking sound. Today i popped the switch out using a trim removal tool and applied grease to the edges to stop the creak however when i popped it back in it no longer sits right on the front area and with enough force on the switch it pulls out from the door card with ease. Anyone had any similar issues with this, I tried moving around the clip to try fix it but nothing seemed to work. Looks worse than it is in the picture How it is when force is applied
  15. I've had the karcher snow foam lance and it was rubbish ive been using an autobrite foam lance and its much better. In short its the karcher foam lance isnt very good. As for snow foam ive used different ones and valet pro neutral proved to be the best when balancing cost against effectiveness. As for washing a car never use a brush it will leave the car covered in swirl marks making it look bad in the sun. After foaming and rinsing the foam off the car use a lambswool wash mitt to wash the car using the two bucket method (one bucket full of shampoo and the other full of clean water to rinse the wash mitt after going over one panel). Hope this helps
