250 is the normal ratio for this, as long as your using a low ash mineral oil. Give it a few tanks and a few Italian tune ups across the carriageway etc and you should be good ( you should normally do this anyway with any diesel). The 2 stroke over a few tanks should essentially be cleaning up your system/ combustion chambers, so you should see a difference.

Yes 250ml a tank. Not sure about carbon difference in dpf of cat, but this does run cleaner in your cylinders and i notice that i now dont ever really get any soot or smokey clouds under hard acceleration anymore.

On and off yes. To be honest with my varied driving to do with work and moving house a few times, i havnt been able to accurately monitor the mileage since starting. But i havnt honestly noticed any improvement in mpg. The car definitely is smoother and quieter on it, even a tad bit more responsive. I just like knowing that the fuel pump, injectors and combustion chamber etc are being better lubricated and cleaned, especially as im doing part time courier in the car the past while when the car is running all day and getting a hard time. I think it is worth the small extra cost, better than buying the dearer diesel or using things like Redex etc, even though i think redex is ok. If your buying the 5l Comma oil, it works out about 95p per tank at current price, which is nothing really. No negatives to date.

Fitted rear drop links other day. But i think at least on of them is making a big thump/ snap sound when straightening/ level after a sharpish turn. Any particular way these are to be fitted or what? They dont seem the most secure things in the world for movement at the middle part sits at a angle sort of at each end as it moves. I have the bolts a tight as i dare and looks the same as what i removed.

Fitted a pair of rear drop links the other day and they seem to be making a big snap/thump sound when the car levels off / straightens after turning sharpish. Is there meant to be a certain method of fitting these i dont know about? They dont seem to be exactly the strongest components, and the way the centre part contacts at each end at a moving angle seems like it could move about slightly even though the nuts are as tight as i dare.

Once you get used to adding it and then stop you can definitely tell. You sort of tune in to the difference in sound when you get used to it.

Only got a quick look at the battery connections today. I noticed the wires from the terminals were very warm and i wasn't cranking the car over, which is meant to be a sign of a bad starter i think.

Been driving about all day today without a problem. I turned the car off for five minutes but then wouldnt restart. All i get is one click from the solenoid i assume. Had to bump it down the street. I have suspected the starter motor was past it a year ago. Some times it will spin slowly and the odd time it really flies. My battery is only 2 months old and i remember after fitting it the car still didnt turn over that fast sometimes. So i am betting it needs ripped out. Can these be cleaned out and/or fixed easily by joe average to get them running a while longer rather than binning it if its not totally shot?

Car failed tonight as aparently there is a hole in it from rust. Seems a week point in the mk1 Focus by now. Anyone repaired/welded theirs or bought new or used? Seems a pig of a job if you dont have a ramp.

Already got the kit needed, but it was only just over a fiver.
