Hi all a quick update look what arrived in the post.
After doing a bit of research and having most of the tools required, I throught " how hard can it be"
The the tools lined up ready for action.
Thought I would start at the back, Jacked up axle stands in place.
This is when it when down hill fast, sheared the bolt clean off even know it had soaked in WD40 for a good 20-30 min.
After a few expletives, I through never mind I will just cut the nut off with my dermal. Well after cutting the nut off, and been drenched in WD40 the bolt wouldn't budge a inch. Even with lots of persuasion with a punch and a big hammer.
Now for more expletives, I gave in and phoned my local garage he said not a problem but you will need to get it towed hear don't drive it.
How am I going to get it there, then I remembered I had AA cover. But then what do I say cos it not really a breakdown. So if you cannot baffle then with brilliance then baffle them with Bull Sh*t .
So after applying grease and mud to the bear metal parts, I phoned up and said I heard a knocking noise and it looks like a bolt had sheared off. OK there on the way, now got my fingers crossed.
AA arrived and had a look yep your sheared a bolt off. Just going to jack it up and take a look. At this point I am thinking he going to find my grinding sh*t.
Then he said have you had any work done recently, so said yes a caliper only because that's on only one I got round to painting. Oh the AA guy said looks like someone has welded the other side of the bar shoddy workmanship. Even know I had ground it, so I just played along with it, Looks like I will have to tow you is there a garage you use.
Yes winner winner chicken dinner, free tow to the garage.
Now just the bill to come from the garage :(
