Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. The main connector for the bluetooth module isn't behind the glovebox but more to the side but you need to remove the glovebox to access it. You wont find it easily because its well hidden inside the gray foam and lots of electrical tape. The audio patch loom is also in the same place and the microphone patch loom is just below. This video shows it perfectly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8-orODfE4s
  2. Hi Allen, not very active on here these days but from the first pic I can see the plug that's needed for the microphone. It's the one that has one black and one red and white wire. I's normally held into the light surround with a bit of glue. I did a guide a while back that might help you complete the install http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/tutorials/article/212-retrofit-bluetooth-with-voice-control-and-usb-for-focus-mk25/
  3. Full wiring schematics, ST pod cluster is on page 85. http://www.mediafire.com/download/0ww0q1o720cm9uc/entire_schematics_ph8m5t-70000-ad.pdf
  4. Obd Security 'databloc Ford Protection'

Not sure Mark, their device could be self powered? My OBD port is completely reconfigured now and stickers added to the windows to advertise the fact.
  5. Obd Security 'databloc Ford Protection'

The alarm doesn't sound because they come round earlier, drill a small hole next to one of the wiper arms which is just above the alarm siren then fill it with expanding foam. They then come in the small hours, pop the window reach in and plug in a device that emulates the key being present into the OBD port. There's a guy on facebook that sells a patch cable and instructions for rewiring the OBD port, once done the port only works if the patch cable is used. Not sure if he does them for all models but defiantly Focus ST & RS
  6. I'm selling a 3dr 54 plate fiasta firefly in the same colour for spares or repair if your interested Kieran, running and driving but needs rear brakes, ball joints and a couple of tyres sorted for MOT I aslo had to top up the water recently so there could be a leak somewhere I've not had a look as I've now bought our lass a nissan note. I'd take £250 located west cumbria
  7. Retro-Fitting Bluetooth To A 58Plate Titanium

You need to replace the exsisting audio patch cable for one that routes the sound through the newly fitted Bluetooth module, Ford Finis 1592580 (8M5T-119A442-AB) about £9.31 from your dealer. The voice control can be enabled using elmconfig, more info here http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/tutorials/article/212-retrofit-bluetooth-with-voice-control-and-usb-for-focus-mk25/ And here http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/31287-guide-for-focus-mk2mk25-c-maxkuga-elm-327-cable-and-ff2-program/
  8. Samsung S4 And 60 Plate Fiesta Problem

On you S4, go into your contacts, press the bottom left touch button to bring up the menu then select contacts to display. I have all contacts selected, that should display contacts stored on both sim and the device.
  9. Focus Mk2.5 Armrest Ipod Holder

You need to remove the back of the armrest then cut some holes for the securing tabs usb and AUX ports on the ipod holder to go through, there's a faint line molded into the plastic
  10. Google Maps/navigation

I use Rocket Player to do this in my RS with the sony dab head unit https://play.google....therMusicPlayer It only works whilst streaming music from your phone though. If you try it you may need to go into settings, audio, audio focus, temp focus action and make sure DUCK or Pause is enabled. If one doesn't work try the other. Another app that works is shuttle music player https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=another.music.player
  11. Mk2.5 Retrofit Bluetooth / Usb /voice

Hi Wilco, would you mind giving me the settings used in ELMconfig please.
  12. It may be that you car has had bluetooth/ voice control all along but was not working, depending on the work the garage carried out they may have disconected the battery and as a result reset the BVC module. Have you tried any voice commands or paired your phone?
  13. Mk2.5 Retrofit Bluetooth / Usb /voice

Thanks for the info Wilco :)
  14. Mk2.5 Retrofit Bluetooth / Usb /voice

Very interesting that you have managed to use a mk3 module in the mk2.5 would you mind me asking what the model number of the module is and how you configured it.
  15. Update your headunits software, this should sort it out then you'll only need to connect the USB cable http://www.ford-mobile-connectivity.co.uk/downloadsUpdates Place the files on the root of the USB stick and follow the instructions.
