I should have taken it back but I live some distance from there and use a different vehicle most of the time. My own fault for not following it up. Model - Ford Focus 2014, eco drive 1.0 hatchback Part - it is the entire handle from the back door. The big that you grip to pull, as well as the two areas to each side where the handle sits. I found this online, it's this entire handle part

About a year ago my car was damaged and the passenger door was repaired. Soon after I opened this door and the handle came off in my hand. The handle was put back on at the yearly MOT test but again it came off about a month later. Is there any special glue that I can use myself to fix this? I'm getting a bit sick of it coming off and also the garage that did this charged me for it. Thanks

About a month ago I went from a 15 year old Ford Focus to a 2 year old one. A mk3.5 focus with 22000 miles on the clock. It's a 1.0 ecoboost. It's a Titanium X and I absolutely LOVE it. It's pretty perfect. I love the part leather seats, the cruise control, the reverse camera, the feel of it, the Navigation system, it's so so so good. I've always wanted an ST though and I'm now wondering if I could in about 6 months upgrade to one. I'd want the exact same spec inside - so the full touch screen system, the cruise control, sat nav, the seat warmers, etc... but the ST version. I bought my car for £11000 and I suppose with some extra loan I could stretch to around £16'000. Some of the ST's I've seen are not the same inside despite being the same age. Is there anything I should really be wary of? Any advice for me?

Firstly, to make it clear, I don't really care about the MPG as I didn't buy my car for that but I am curious. I know that cars advertising XXmpg isusually way way off. However my 2 year old Focus 1.0 Ecoboost is surprising. The speedometer is showing an verage of 40mpg. That is doing 90% motorway miles around 60-75mph. I rarely accelerate hard or fast, and generally get it to around 72-75mph and then put in cruise control and let it go in 6th gear for the miles towards home. Tbh, my old focus - which was 15 years old, 1.8l petrol is about the same economy and I used to rag that. Like I said, I'm that bothered but more curious as I've never had a car that shows the MPG and it's juts something that got my attention

Thanks guys. I have video and will post tomorrow when I'm at a computer. I didn't get the impression they were touting for business but who knows. The previous owner did lose the key and so dealer (after quite a heated discussion) did knock £170 off for that. I will give trading standard a call too

Two weeks ago I bought a 64 plate Ford Focus mk3.5 which has 22000 miles on the clock. It was bought from an official Seat/Mazda dealership which is based around 200 miles from where I live - so I can't just pop back there. When I bought the car the salesman said the car went through their "50 point check" or whatever it was called and that during this they noticed the brake PADS were in bad condition, so they've been changed. I bought the car and all is good so far. The car only came with one key so yesterday I went to Ford by appointment and the key was made. They also do a physical check of the car - which they send you a video of. Pretty cool. During the physical cheque they gave the car an amber warning for brake DISCS. They said the pads are new, but that at some point it's run metal-on-metal so the inner part of the brake pads at the front are badly scored and ideally need replaced. Where do I stand? They salesman wasn't at all open and honest about the one car key. In fact I only noticed as we were sorting out paperwork and he said "Right, here's the key..." and I then said "Oh... where's the other?" and he got all funny and said "This particular car only has the one" - as if it's supposed to be like that. Now I feel that the official seat/mazda used car salesman has shown a lack of integrity by KNOWINGLY selling the car with damaged brake discs which should be replaced. I did not get a copy nor did I ask for a copy of the "50 point check" report - it just never occurred to me to ask anymore about it. Is this a good plan: I will NOT phone the people, but will send an email or maybe recorded letter. I will tell them what's happened and say that I am considering taking legal advice and request payment for the repairs to be made. Thanks everyone, Redrabbit

After getting a nice newish car I've become a bit obsessed with keeping it nice and clean. My previous cars were all really old so wasn't too fussed about it. I thought it would be good to have an option of just running out with it and spending 5 minutes just clearing up inside. Any thoughts on this?

I bought a newish focus about a week ago - only about 2.5 years old. Today I noticed that the brake calipers look rusted: I don't know much about cars and did a bit of research online. Some said that it's fine, it's just water and air thats caused it and it's not a problem at all. Infact that's all I saw, I didn't see anyone sayingit was really bad. The Seat/Mazda dealer I got the car from say that during their service (I take that with a pinch of salt) they noticed the brake pads at the front were worn so they replaced them. The car brakes fine, no driving issues, just the appearence that is rusty. Do you think this is just a normal issue with calipers and nothing to worry about?. Thanks

Im sure there may be a way - I will have a look - but I hope there's a way to turn off some notifications and warnings: eg - warnings about sat Nav usage for the driver... emergency assist is off (yes I know!!!) ... a few other things. Like I said I've not done too much fiddling so I'm sure there's a way to customise things further

Avi I was wondering if my TitX (the 64 plate one) had changable colours. I've checked the manual and it just says about dimming them. Not the colours. I've also tried the Ford site but it's like a maze trying to find the information you need

Just got a newish Focus. I've never had a nice car so in the past a stain or scuff here or there never bothered me. Do you guys clean the inside much and if so what with? In the past I've used the hand car wash people and they put this oily stuff over the dashboard which is quite nice actually. Im going to pop down to Halfords later and pick up some supplies Will also get some air fresheners too. Not sure which one yet though
