Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hi, I was with the dealer buying items for my car and when asked them about fuel filter, they told me that this Focus generation doesn't have fuel filter. At the moment I said ok, but then I realized about how the car is supposed to filter the fuel. Do you guys know what to check if the fuel filter is not in this car? My car is having a delay when pressing the acceleration pedal in the morning. It takes around 15 seconds to get ready. The car is dying for fuel I know. Thank you.
  2. Hi From Mexico!

Hi! I'm from Mexico and I own a Focus 2010 MK2.5 Europe version It took me sometime to realize that this is a different Focus from USA, and it was build for Europe. That's why here I am :D Thanks and I expect to be around here for a good time. Bye!
  3. Hi there, I have a Focus 2010 Aut, MK2.5 Europe version. The problem is in the pretty cold mornings, when the temperature is around 50F-60F. When I start the engine, the RPM goes up, then falls over 600 and the engine rumbles like it was dying. Sometimes it recovers and very few times it dies, so I need to start again. No matter if the engine recovers or I need to start it again, the very first seconds I drive, when I press the gas pedal it takes time to respond. If I press the pedal only around 50%, the engine rumbles a little, like it is going to die. Not at the same level as I explained above, but it rumbles a little. The RPM goes to 800 and keeps there until I press the pedal at full. Also, if I press the pedal at full, it takes time to respond, around 1.5 seconds. All of these "issues" last for maybe 3 or 4 events/gas pedal pushes, then it goes to normal condition. No more rumbles or pedal delays. I already changed spark plugs, cleaned fuel injectors, checked wires, transmission level fluid. The condition remains in cold mornings. When the weather is warm, the car is great, no problems at all. It is pretty hard to find information for this car. Hopefully you can help me with this issue. Thank you.
