Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Thank you for your reply. I rang Halfords first of all & they told me to go to a main dealer. I'll try the local shop tomorrow. :)
  2. Hello Everyone, I have just bought a ford streetka 2006 winter edition. When I collected it from the garage, the hard top was on the car. I removed the hard top on Friday, as the weather was so nice, but decided to put it back on last night when the thunderstorms were announced. I had no problem getting the roof into place, and tightened up the bolt on the passenger side, but when I tried to tighten the bolt on the driver's side, I couldn't get the thread to catch. I'd had trouble getting it off, but just thought it was a bit awkward, didn't notice anything wrong with it. When I compared it to the passenger side, it did look like there was some kind of washer on there that didn't seem to be on the drivers side. I rang the local Ford dealers today, & they are suggesting it would be around £114 to replace the whole bolt. This seemed a bit excessive if it's just a case of a missing washer. If anyone else has got any experience of this or can offer any advice, I would be really grateful. Thanks All, Ellen :)
  3. Hi All, I've just driven my newly-acquired Ford Streetka home from Cambridgeshire to Leicestershire, so I'm very excited! Only downer is I've just got the owners manual out to check how to sort the roof out, and discovered it's a manual for the normal Ka model & not the streetka! So, if anyone has any suggestions as to where I might be able to get a manual for a 2006 1,6i winter edition Streetka, I'd be really grateful. Thanks x
