You need to remove the plastic trim that the number plate lights and boot release go into, there should be some 10mm bolts inside the boot that hold this on

No the key has to be inside the car for them to start it,
I'm using the mountune mtune so that's permanently plugged into my obd that has been extended and moved to the middle of the car

If it is the coil pack then it's a 10/20min job and will cost no more than £30/£40 however it could also be the coil pack drivers in the ECU which means you'll need a new ECU or get the current one repaired.

I used a 12v timer on for 3hours every 72 hours wired to a obd splitter lead with a live and earth and tucked it behind the radio.
