  6. 13 years old... Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  7. Looks in very nice condition..ive a 5 door hatch mk3 mondog but i think the 4 door saloon just pips it on looks..ive had mine mondog since 09..glad your keeping hold of it ...storming motors.. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  8. Sounds like the owner is a relative of....Richard Turpentine...cant use the abbreveation for Richard..somebody's deemed it a no go..hence the Edit... This is something i dont like and totally ruins my origina....rant over.. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  9. As above...more tempermental than a manual if the oil is old...my mate has a 05 petrol ghia with the 4 speed box..not the 5 tronic...had its believed its second oil change last winter at about 70k miles...runs smoothly and responsive..hope you sort it out...ps 4 speed apparently more durable than the 5 tronic ? 10. Love the mk3...especialy the lusty v6 ones...had mine 8 years now.. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  11. Im needing to replace the sump gasket on my mk3...thats it...you would know if it was a broken ring...dont think it would sound too good...ive not heard of this line before...i know ST mk3 petrols are driven hard, and sump gaskets are replaced and no more misting..they have two cats..if they are okay and breathers too then... I have the one cat on my 3.0 v6..that is fine..also had ALL vacums and hard to get at breather replaced 1500 miles back..little bit of mist been like that since before..and after..is miniscule so not too worried, but will get done at fords when time allows... Try another garage fella.... Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk
  12. Did you fit the new clutch etc..yourself or a garage...what gearbox oil have you used...i believe the fluid ford use in the mk4+ mk5 gearbox is meant to be better than the oil used in the mk3.... Mine gets a bit stiff..but only on very cold winter mornings..hasnt had a gearbox oil change yet.. I preffered the gearbox on my old mk2 v6..5 speed with single mass..never got the wrong shift..but 6 speed on my ghia x.. Sent from my SM-A320FL using Tapatalk

  15. Sorry for not getting back sooner,i hope your hernia has gone back home.. My grandad was a carpenter during the 20"s up to the 50's..he had to wear a special belt come his hernias, when he reached the ourbreak of ww2...but hated it and did his best not to wear the damm thing... Before going to his medical to pass fitness for his next voyage, he would go into the gents public loos...opposite the dock board building and put his hernias.."he had two" both opposite under the belt...and then pop his 'false teeth' in....to get the all clear...ships were'nt allowed to set sail without their Chippy.
