  1. Defo synchro..... You just described how your synchro wasn't working so couldnt get into gear, got upto speed to manually match the gear change and got into first Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. If clutch slave was way out it would affect all gears Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. Only shorter gear ratio meaning Changing more, less mpg, a 0.1s faster (if you change fast enough) and the famous 2nd gear wont go near 70 anymore. They break just the same Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. First and second gears are the synchro reason being as its a joint gear which only gets used by first and second. But to stay care free is to check linkage incase this has been loose. Keep car off go up and down gears will feel smooth. Then turn car on and do the same with clutch just touching it should crunch first and second showing the synchro has gone. £65 oil £200 gearbox delivered from ebay Doing yourself £265 Paying someone ( my local gearbox specialist with a 5year warranty) is around £450ish Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  5. @Luke_Anderson wouldn't worry about guys like that bud, I made a idiot Proof guide to install underseat subwoofer for fiesta. Litrally drew diagrams simple enough my niece at age 7 knew. And still had a 2 ppl message me saying oh I dont know how you did this and that, and im getting a issue, blaming my guide, which many have used with ease. I basically asked if they were thick. As its obv something they have done 😂
  6. Will do buddu Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  7. Yes it's worth it, it doesn't really gain bhp it really just stood your car from overheating so giving out a persistent bhp rather than heating up and loosing bhp bud I'm actually selling mines ATM but just not had time to advertise because buying a house and moving in soon
  8. For the autobeam ones? higher resistor than a ordinary ..... canbus error free bulbs but canbus bulbs has a resistor to fake basically being a filament bulb (giving it more load) , but that doesn't work on a indicator as it needs a higher load resistor (as time it takes for a normal filament bulb to turn on its times to go off) as led is instant that's why you get hyper flash.... autobeam ones use a higher load but not same size as the parallel one you get off ebay this is why they work where others fail...... so higher than a standard canbus bulb but lower than parallel resistor but they still work........ so if you were meaning lower value.... yes lower than a parallel but more than standard canbus error free 😉 led does save energy but with resistors to pretend they are filament bulb they loose it from them so personally its really about looks i added my own led bulbs with switchbacks, i added resistors to be parallel to work here is mines https://streamable.com/1vulj
  9. To sort this issue get a resistor and wire it in that's all you got to do 2bh the autobeam ones work because they have a higher resistor than normal built in
  10. Haynes? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. Going off mates VW GTD btw which isn't modded my cars exhaust has got soot on it but I've never cleaned it yet to know how much lol Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. Got mixed up with adblue my bad [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Burns off to make water vapour basically [emoji23] but all diesels still get soot in exhaust visible soot no so when you rev non should appear but your clean rear of the car will get soot and soot will be on the exhaust Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. All diesels no matter what will get lots and lots of soot lol hence dirty diesels lol Dpf doesn't catch all of the soot (it's for gases mostly which it burns off) * in brackets is wrong
  14. Guess the normal inductions will fit it like Mountune etc A change of exhaust tips and end box from st is a cheap mod and will make it sound better but it's a 1.0 not a 1.0t t stands for turbo this is a duratec 3cyclinder engine but there isn't any real way of making this engine sportier 2bh Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. I'm sorry to burst the bubble here The mk7.5 is the better car (wait till I get to my point before judging) Mk8 belter looks wise comes to certain taste but that's not where I'm basing this on I'm basing it on engine..... Both Mk7 and mk8 has exact same engine except they added cylinder deactivation which is daft IMHO puts power from engine to one or 2 pistons . Please .... Mk8 is heavier car, ford made the car wider and slightly longer with same engine makes it less bhp/tonne making it less mpg..... I've drove both and here to say Mk7 is better.... Now to the gadgets Mk8 beats it hands down gadgets galore which I'm actually more for, i love gadgets but with modern cars all you really need to do is add your own media screen and you get most of them anyway So here's the conclusion ..... Personal choice For me I drove my fiesta and loved it for years had over 4year of fun in that little car running 170bhp I needed bigger so was liking the fact the new car was bigger I drove one on test drive and work has one alsoso drove it.... Didn't feel the same imho and I don't mean better a felt the Mk7 was better for engine wise well down to weight being lower and mpg where I average 43+ on the mk8 37+ But was impressed with the inside of the car all round the mk8 definitely beats Mk7 for interior lol For me I ended up choosing an estate focus lol as I can buy a second car now for speed so personally Go test drive it and work out if it's the best option out there ... Due to prices a would say there is better out there than the mk8 fiesta 😉
