Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  5. @ Jim_C I have had problems since I bought the car in feb of this year - it only had 34k on and now has about 40??? I described it as a hiccup - 1 single hiccup at 60mph/2000 revs when naturally decelerating - I took the engineer out in it with a Laptop connected and I couldn't get the !Removed! thing to do it!!!!! They said if I have any problems with it to take it back - I have spoken to trading standards for advice when the warranty was coming to an end who said there was nothing to worry about - the garage had accepted the car back twice to fix it - I got my wheels rebalanced the first time and the second time they replaced the fuel filter (and both times cleaned the car ) but still the fault is there!! If I can go in and say these injectors are known to be faulty I will sit it out till they sort it!!!! I know someone who will look at the injectors for me next week then I'll be on the phone!!!! Tbh it doesn't bother me that much - I have learnt to live with it but I'm guessing its likely that something else will go if I just leave it!!! Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  6. I think my car has this fault! How do I find out if mine r the faulty ones??? Please will you email/ pm me the info too. Vee Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  7. Where Do I Stand

    Sorry what is TSB????
  8. Where Do I Stand

Hi! Your better off contacting citizen advice. I had issue with my car n they couldn't find what fault was - citizen advice said warranty not really worth paper it's written on but the fact that they have already accepted car back and attempted to resolve it is them accepting that there is a problem and it is there responsibility to resolve it. I hope it's the same for you!! Out of curiosity what engine have you got?? I hVe t seen your pre threads. What problem were you having and what will fix it?????? Hope u get sorted! Vee
  9. Does the blanking plate not cause any other problems?? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  10. Oh eck here we go again. Update was basically that they changed fuel filter which seemed to solve the problem ........ But only for a short time and it's started doing it again so back in it goes and hopefully they can resolve it. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

I plan on taking it back for something before the warranty runs out just so they clean it again!!! ;) Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  13. 2009 1.8Tdci - Intermittant Stuttering

To be fair to them the lady at the service desk had typed my babbled description up as 'juddering at 60' so i would have thought that is the first thing they would check- the guy who rang yesterday said they had not found any fault but I explained it again to him and he obv found it this morning hence the fuel filter getting changed!!! And anywhere willing to clean my car without getting paid gets a big thumbs up from me!!! Took kids to see the hunt meet on Saturday so there was a fair bit of mud on the outside as well as the inside!!! ;)) Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  14. 2009 1.8Tdci - Intermittant Stuttering

Update! Left the car with them and they rang tonight to say they test drove it again and have rebalanced front wheels (tbh I never felt there was anything wrong!!) and fitted new fuel filter!! Seems ok so far fingers crossed!!! I couldn't get it to do anything wrong on the way home!!!!! And mine is from Evans ford and they have been ok so far - plus when I picked it up they had cleaned it inside and out!!! :) saved me a job this weekend!!! Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  15. I'm glad to hear some of you have had good experiences with 1.8tdci!!! I chose this engine as I read so many horror stories about 1.6 and 2.0 engines!! My car is at the garage as we speak for them to explore a 'hiccup' type thing when doing 60mph and also hubby asked me to mention the flat spot exactly as you have all mentioned above but it only does it when he is driving- :) so far the garage can't find these faults.... Again mine is under warranty so we'll see what tomorrow brings! Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
