Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Focus Mk1 Reverse Lamp Filling Up With Water ?????

Hi I've just got the same problem with mine so will try the tip for repairing it, thanks. I have just put in a new bulb (haven't done repairs yet) and reverse light didn't come on. Do you think this a) because its already wet, or b) cos the water has shorted / blown the bulb holder or other part? Thanks for any advice. Chris
  2. Thanks AdeMK1, thats the solution to the problem I was having! Took the radio out and the red and yellow cables were swapped. 2 minute job to swap the cables and all sorted now. Many thanks!!!
  3. Thanks for your reply. The old, standard ford radio was working ok before I put in this replacement, would you recommend I still need to check them?
  4. Thanks for your reply Steve. Yes had the original manufacturer's cables coming out of the back of the radio. Got an adapter to attach to the Ford cables and they plugged in fine. Are they the wrong cables or not wired correctly? Thanks again.
  5. Hi all, I've installed a new radio in my Mk1 Focus, the issue I have is getting it connected to the permanent 12V supply. Please can anyone share a video / how to guide on this subject? Thanks for your replies. Chris
