  1. From what I have read changing to the mk3.5 hose fixes this issue?
  2. Would a Mk3.5 1.0 Ecoboost be a better choice for reliability?
  3. From what I've found it looks like the damage is to the cylinder head cracking meaning a very expensive repair 😕 Really not sure if I want to take the risk or not
  4. So after the recall is done there shouldn't be any problem but keep a bottle of coolant in the boot just in case?
  5. That's what I was looking for. To see if there was a fix that could be done. How common do you think the problem is?
  6. Can someone explain the coolant problem with the 1.6 Ecoboost. Im looking at getting the 1.6 Ecoboost soon but want to make sure im not throwing away money. I have tried looking online for more information about the issue but everything returns about the 1.0 which I have been told has a different issue to the 1.6 Any information is appreciated. Thanks,
  7. Is this something that only needs to be done on the 1.0 or is it the same for the 1.6?
  8. Auto check shows the incident November 2016 - written off CAT D. No new keeper since 2013 I'd say its gone
  9. As the title states. Would focus mk2 Rs alloys fit on a mk3 ecoboost?
  10. Im looking at buying a mk3 Focus 1.6 Ecoboost in the new year. Looking for a nice set of alloys to go with the purchase. From what I've seen if I went for 18" I would need a steering rack limiter which is not ideal for parking where I live. Therefore im looking for some 17" to avoid this. Any recommendations? Looking for something like Aodhan AH06's but ones that will actually fit the car.
  11. Mine does this too 2006 Lx Petrol. I believe it to be the instrument cluster as I know there is a known issue with the soldering on them. I fixed mine for a few weeks by unplugging and re-plugging in the dash. Now it only does it if the car gets too hot when I blast the heater. I believe the only fix is a new cluster or a repair to re-solder.
  12. Looking at getting a new (to me) focus in the new year. Due to funds will most likely be looking at a MK3. I've been looking at the 1.6 ecoboost as I want the power but after looking online about all the problems people have been having starting to think maybe this wouldn't be the best idea. What would you guys recommend?
  13. Last keeper change was back in 1990. No ABI marker on the vehicle, no scrap marker. Most likely in someones garage
  14. Front and rear shocks and springs were changed last December so wouldn't imagine it was that
