Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. simple question

Thanks man, that's what i thought but i'm a total noob at car maintenance , sick of going to the garage for simple jobs though
  2. hi can anyone tell me whether or not i need to disconnect the battery when changing the ignition coil?
  3. Hi i'm new to this site,I registered because I was hoping for some advice before I waste money. I have a focus 2002 model,it has a leak in the gasket cover which is messing up the cat, sp plugs and coil pack. I'm not bothered about the cat or leak at the minute, last week it started misfirng so on monday i changed the spark plugs, all fine for a cple days then yesterday it started misfiring again. So now i'm gonna get a coil pack/leads and hope that sorts it for a while but what i need to know is even though it had new spark plugs on monday is it best to order new pugs too with the coil pack and leads and change them again? this car has been great really, struggled on through its problems,a year ago it started misfiring so my mate changed the plugs and its been fine since it started up again last week, cant afford to take it in to garage so hoping coil pack will sort it til september . Any advice would be much appreciated Also should i be disconnecting the battery when replacing the ignition coil? I'm only just starting to do what bits i can on my own car so have no real mechanical knowledge
  4. Cylinder 4 Misfire. Help.
