    1.0 petrol versus 1.5 petrol

I've driven a Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost which was great but is it not a tad underpowered for the Focus?

    1.0 petrol versus 1.5 petrol

Cheers Alex Am I correct in thinking that the 1.0 is powershift auto and the 1.5 a conventional auto?
  3. Hi. A (nearly) new member here. I actually joined last year but forgot to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I drive a '15 plate Focus Titanium 1.6 auto. I reside in Harrogate North Yorkshire.

    1.0 petrol versus 1.5 petrol

Just had a look on ebay and out of twenty 2017 cars there is only one 1.5 (and that's an estate)
  5. Hi I'm looking for a '17 plate focus automatic (ideally 1.5L). On Autotrader at the moment there are 119 x 1.0L cars and only 19 x 1.5L cars. Is there any particular reason why the one litre cars far outweigh the 1.5 litre cars? I know the 1.0L ecoboost is a great engine but would have thought that the ratio to 1.5's would be more even? Is it just because of the economy/tax benefits or is the 1.5 not such a good engine? Also, nearly all the 'Titanium X' trim cars on Autotrader at the moment seem to be estates. Is there a reason for this or is it just coincidence? TIA
  6. I'm looking at new focus automatics (petrol). I notice that the 1.0 and 1.5 Ecoboost autos are referred to as 'Automatics' but the 1.6 auto is referred to as 'Powershift'. Are they different systems/technology or has the terminology just changed? Also, is the 1.5 ecoboost a relatively recent engine? Is the 1.6 petrol likely to be discontinued soon? Thanks.
