  1. Thanks for your advice. I found the issue. I used the left-side rewind tool on the right-side calliper. Silly me. I managed to fix it with the right-side rewind tool on the right-side calliper. Thanks everyone.

  3. Hi I tried to replace my brake pad today. Unfortunately, I rewind anti-clockwise. The caliper is stuck. Anyway, I managed to rewind it later after many tries. But, it still stuck halfway. No matter how hard I try with the rewind tool. It still unable to go it. Anyone has any suggestion? Details as attached.
  4. Hi When at slow speed on a big roundabout. Awful 'wolf-wolf' squeaking noise on turning the steering wheel on the right side. It happens randomly and not always. And this only happens when I turn the steering wheel on the right side. I did tried to record it and uploaded to youtube as link below:- Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  5. Oic... Thanks for your suggestion. I will probably do that. Save mine time for waiting
  6. Thanks. Ats euromaster charged £20 for that job. And they mentions the nuts are around few pounds each. The ebay price save me a lots. And the Kwit Fit happy to do that for FREE.
  7. Hi I just changed my two front tyres from Atsmaster. After they help me to change it. They told me the wheel nuts are cross-threaded. They suggest I buy the nuts (and probably the studs too) from somewhere and they will help me to replace that for all the wheels. I am just curious that I need to replace it soon. My car is quite old, so I try not to spend too much money. Or I can wait till my next tyres change? Thanks
  8. Thanks for your suggestion. It is the wire issue. The local garage just used 30 minutes to fixed for £45. Everything is working now 🙂
  9. How about remove the smart charge plug from alternator? Can I test it that with this method to confirm the smart charge having issue?

  11. Thanks. What I should do? how can I fix that?
  12. Hi, Recently, my dashboard's battery warning light is on. It only turn on after one minute drive. Car also had steering assistance failure come up and cut out a few times while mid-corner. I put in a brand new battery (Varta Blue 075 D59 which should be a silver calcium battery). It still the same that battery warning light is still on. I did check the battery power cable and alternator belt, they look fine. I also tested the alternator with multi-meter. The read as below:- Before turn-on the car, the reading is 12.35. When I turn on the car, the reading is 13.75 When I rev the engine to 2,000 RPM with the lights, radio, and AC on, the reading is 13.85. So, alternator should be fine as it is above 13? But, it never reach 14 and above. Any chance the alternator still can be issue? Or anything else can cause the battery light? Thanks
  13. I have a similar issue. I like to test whether my smart charge fault, can I remove the smart battery charger fuse in the fuse box to test it?
  14. Dear All I saw my coil springs are slightly rusted? Should I wire brush and apply Waxoyl Rustproofing Aerosol or just not bother https://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repair/specialist-decorative-paints/hammerite-waxoyl-rustproofing-for-cars-aerosol-400ml-clear I tried Waxoyl Rustproofing Aerosol before it looks like a thick waxy. If I applied that, will it mislead the MOT tester. He might think that thick waxy is like oil leaking? Thanks
  15. Hi I just removed the wheel. If I not mistaken, I think break pads still quite thick as picture attached. But, Halfords says my both front brake pads are worn between 1.6-3MM. Did I missed anything from the checking?
