    Favour needed

It's always my worry about having work done to a new car that requires stripping back, the dealerships often can't put things back the way they were. Sorry to hear you're having so many troubles.
  2. I've been told by a few people in the know that those types of smells can often come from wax seals on new cars. I certainly had a few funny smells (which weren't the DPF burning off) which have since disappeared. I didn't have any smoke though.
  3. For me it would be a price issue. If you can get a Vignale for the same or less than a Sport, seems to be a good buy. However, when I was ordering my Sport the Vignale was £200/month more expensive. Given that they are identical in all but looks (and the Sport still looks good), I couldn't justify it.
  4. I know what you mean re the Sync 3 system. Mine has its quirks too. At least we can hold out hope for software updates ...
  5. I'm with you the stop/start! Several times I've tried to pull away at a roundabout and the thing is too slow to kick in. Can't find a way to permanently switch it off.
  6. Yes, thankfully mine's gone too now (after 2,500+). Or at least to a level which I can't hear/doesn't bother me.

Interested to know your experience of the Bluefin remap!
  8. In case anyone has the same query ... Took it back to the dealership and they did some tests. Seems the noise comes from the fuel injectors (it's a sort of high pitched cricket like noise). Apparently the noise lessens after 4-5k miles once they "learn" your driving style (skeptical of that). We also have a Kuga 2.0 tdci and actually I hear a similar noise, except it's far less obvious as road and wind noise is greater. Maybe I have a particular sensitivity to that noise or in my car it's louder. Guess it'll be a matter of ignoring it and turning up the sound system (which fortunately is pretty good!).

    Heated Seats

I know how you feel. I know I'm gonna have a battle on my hands with Ford with the annoying throttle noise I've got. Raised it direct with Ford (forget the dealers) so let's see how it goes. It's always a gamble with a new model. My previous car was one of the first mark 7 Golfs and was perfect ... but it certainly increases the risk to be the first to buy.

    Heated Seats

I've since been in another Lux pack car and the heated seats were also not great. I've also been in a cloth car and they were good. Maybe the Lux pack ones aren't so great; to do with the cooled seat combination?
  11. Think the noise is coming from the turbos (not the air inhalation) spinning. It's pretty faint but one of those things, once you've heard it ...
  12. Recently picked up an Edge Sport 210 ps. When cruising on the motorway (50 mph and above) I hear a faint but clearly noticeable, relatively high pitched, "rat a tat tat" type rattle when the throttle is depressed (even/especially when slightly pressed). It's coming from under the bonnet (though you can hear it in the cabin) and I'm reasonably convinced it's just the sound of the diesel engine, but would be interested to know if anyone else experiences this. I have a Kuga 2.0 diesel too (although manual) and don't experience the same noise.

    Heated Seats

Let us know how you get on Ja1973 as mine aren't that hot either. I have the Sport with Lux so I assumed it was because the cloth might not transfer heat as well as leather (the heated bit is Dinamica).
