  4. Would cost me a lot more to take it to Ford and price that though. They would charge for a new engine and possibly pay 50% if I'm lucky, it's just a whole lot of arguing I probably won't win. Its 5 and a half years old. They don't care Its only got 33k. I'm on the Facebook group and all I'm seeing is ford saying tough luck it's your problem.   5. Trust me it's not poor servicing. Cars maintained meticulously. Full main dealer history. Knew the previous owner. Found out about a guy with a Mondeo with same 2.0 ecoboost. On his 3rd engine at 70k. Its probably LSPI. Might be down to a bad batch of pistons. But obv not cheap to repair when there's no spares available. Just absolutely gutted. Always been a Ford guy. This has broken me. It's clearly a manufacturing/design defect but I'm stuck picking up the bill because it's an "old" car. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  6. Driving to work. Car developed a misfire out of nowhere. Breakdown were pretty useless. Said it was probably coil pack. Long story short...... piston completely failed. 13 plate ST. 33k miles full main dealer history. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  8. Thanks for the replies. Never heard of banner or mutlu. A multi one came up in my searches. It's obviously a high powered battery. And like you say finding one to fit the box is the biggest issue. It's a pig to change. I think I'll just go with the Yuasa one that Halfords popped up with.   9. Hi guys. Having battery drain issues. 2013 Focus ST. Started in the severe cold last year. Misses drives it in very short trips to mum's and work. Had all the electrics on. Jump started it and it been fine since then. Had to jump it maybe 3 times. But it happened Friday, I did a fairly long trip in it afterwards and it's already needed a jump again. Hoping it's just the battery needing replacement. Which I know is awkward due to how sensitive the car is to the battery power. Can't find an exact ford match. Found a Yuasa lifetime one. 700cca 68ah which is a bit over the current one fitted, and it's lead acid. Is this going to create any issues? It's not cheap but as all she does is such short trips I was hoping it would solve the battery drain issues? Any help is appreciated. As I can't find a lot apart from Yuasa saying how their non calcium batteries are fine for fords, but they would say that to sell you their batteries. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  13. Hi. Driving down the road and heard a loaf bang pop. Nothing seemed to be off. Brakes fine. Wheels attached. Happened just away from home. Next day I've jumped in the car. Headed to the shops. Can hear some pretty horrid noises coming from the rear. Thought it was just the boot. Got out to check again and then I noticed. I'm guessing it's roll bar? Seems to make noises when the car is twisting. Now the other thing is. Maybe 5 weeks ago it was in at my local stealer for a 5 year service. And 3 weeks ago I had the front and rear pads done. Which they've ripped me off for but that's another story. So is it roll bar related? How much should it cost to fix? And is there any way it could be something they've loosened and not tightened back up while it's been in there recently? Sorry for the long write up. Thanks for any help.   14. Thought it was a lot cheaper. Need to ring the stealers up. Also get free puncture repairs! Wow! Hahaha. Get free breakdown cover from my bank so not worth it. Only going to them to keep up the full dealer history when I sell it on in a few years. The service at Ford Eltham is terrible anyway. Didn't even clean it last time. Take my Sirocco to a local.   15. Anyone had a look into servicing recently?? I signed up for the service club as it seemed a good deal. I have a 2013 Focus ST. About 100 off over a few years and free MOTs.
