    Clutch or Induction? 🙄

I never did it for the looks or the "performance enhancement", It was a cheap way to change the tone of the engine, sportier if you like. I always had pipercross, which is kind of a deeper, throatier tone than K&N. Most people hate it, sure. But again it's cheaper than buying a full exhaust system for a 1.4l engine. Is you next insult going to cure your self esteem issues?

    Clutch or Induction? 🙄

I'll be taking it off tomorrow or Tuesday, then I'll give it a test. Then more importantly I'll put the piece of chit on eBay for some 'other' mug to buy 🤣 Every car I've owned I've put an Induction kit on. To date I've had a (In order)... Vauxhall Corsa, Ford Ka, Citroën Saxo, Renault Clio, Peugeot 206, Ford Puma, Renault Megane and now a Fiesta... The cars are supposed to get better as you get older, but mine have stayed consistently ***** lol!

    Clutch or Induction? 🙄

I really should put the old airbox back in to diagnose, but that's a whole process that I didn't want to have to do lol, but I must. I thought the ecu relearns the new data from the MAF and adjusts to suit, or do I disconnect the battery for 10 minutes? I suppose I could say F*** it and accept a £100 loss and return it back to original or I could do a bit more research. Either way, thanks for the reply and effort. If anyone knows of any other threads with a similar problem please let me know. I find it difficult to navigate this website. Thanks
  4. Hello, I've just had a new clutch and slave fitted and I fitted a pipercross induction kit (Panel filter enclosed in original airbox, see link below) https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/PK363-Pipercross-Induction-Kit-for-FORD-FIESTA-Mk7-1-25-1-4-1-6-16v-inc-ZETEC-S-/132384358099?_mwBanner=1 They were both done at the same time so I don't know which is causing the problem... When I'm in 1st gear, crawling through traffic, I'll get to the bite point and the car will shudder. Could it be that the cars not getting enough air? The cold air pipe supplied is really long, I have one side connected to the bottom of the new airbox and the other to the original cold air intake on the upper front of the engine bay (as directed). The pipe kind of sags down in the shape of an elongated "U", will this restrict the air intake? Something else that could help diagnose the problem is when I'm in 4th, doing 30mph then accelerate the car will for a moment drop power, sort of a stutter. I'm leaning towards the CAI but the juddering in 1st then makes me think clutch. Please help! Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.6 Petrol 2009
  5. Finding so many problems with my 2009 fiesta zetec S The latest issue is the gearstick squeaks when going into 2nd, 4th and reverse... I lifted the gear surround to oil the joint and found the noise to be coming from the piston thingy, I don't know what it's for but when you put the gearstick into 2nd, 4th and reverse the piston extends, and this is causing the squeak, I squirted some 3in1 around but still squeaking. Do I need to replace it? What's it for?
  6. I put some LED's in the headlights... So I put those LED's in headlights, nobody has flashed me, they are bright white but they're not blinding bright. But I was wondering how do I adjust the headlights left/right up/down. I know there's a yellow hex screw on top of the headlight, but which way does that adjust? And Where's the other one? The headlight reflection seems to be perfect on the passenger side, but the drivers side is pointed off in a different direction.
  7. So when I brought my fiesta, there was a "More Than Smart Wheels" sticker on the windscreen with a symbol that resembles the WiFi symbol on your phone. I googled what it was and it's for a blackbox to record your location, speed, driving habits etc etc. Do they remove this box when the person who had insurance with them cancels their policy or sells the car? I DO NOT want to be recorded, I DO NOT want my location and where abouts being watched, I DO NOT want my information passed onto my current insurance company, police 😉 or whoever else.
  8. In reply to my own question, here was my problem. The knocking I experienced was due to a broke spring, the speed bumps in my area are those new ridiculously high/sharp black boxes that all have scrapes and gouges from all the poor ***** that are a little too low. It must have broken going over those (Not fast, I always slow down to around 10/15mph. Any faster and you're looking to break something). And in regards to the brakes causing the car to jerk... According to the garage my front pads were down to below 25% (Thank you previous owner). All in including labour it cost £150 Brakes - £60 Spring - £90 (inc Labour)
  9. Thanks for replying, I'll take it to the garage monday. But at least now I have an idea, thanks. I'll reply to this thread when I know what it is, as whilst I was searching google for the answer, all the other threads are unanswered and it's so frustrating.
  10. Hello, I'm new so please forgive me if this has already been covered a million times before. So, I just purchased a 2009 Ford Fiesta Zetec S, test drove it, no knocking, clangs or bangs. Two days later I'm getting a dainty metallic knocking when I'm decelerating. For example I'm in 3rd gear, I'm doing 25mph and I take my foot off the accelerator and engine braking... There is a rhythmitic knocking, the speed of the knocking is equivalent to the speed of the car. It doesn't happen when I'm on the accelerator only when I'm off it. I know it could a million different things and you'd need to hear it to diagnose it, but hopefully there's somebody with or had the same problem. Also whilst I'm here let me ask another Q. When I'm braking the pedal feels lumpy and when I'm slowing to almost a stop the car jerks (through the brakes), I'm guessing this could be a warped disc?
