I've come to an ST170 from an audi A4 turbo and find the brakes cack too so personally i wouldn't bother upgrading to them unless you really want rear discs in which case just rob a set of a 2.0 zetec or ghia. Just go for upgraded discs and pads black diamond were great on my 300bhp st (2008 mk2.5) the fade only really came in once they had took some serious punishment where as the standard ford ones could stop you from ***mph ONCE.

Brilliant thank you! tried blowing in the grill on the dash and that worked. I'll get the car in the air at work and see if there's a kink in the draining hose or blocked etc

Hi Folks, Bit of a strange one. My MK1 has taken to leaving a small lake in the garage over night of water no colour or smell or anything just clean clear water. I've managed to work out its condensation of the air con pump which with my car having climate control with the A/C never turned of is justified but not in such a large quantity. Was wondering if anyone else's focus leaves small lakes on the floor at night. Also does anyone else's climate control have random fits when it just seems to blow on full wack on cold for ages and ages. Every time i turn fleetwood mac on my 170 proceeds to dry my eye balls out! Change of car later (currently a st170) and getting a steady 32mpg ish its doing 300 miles to 45 quid and thats a blend of cruising and thrashing the back out of it!

ST-2 with 285 exhaust intake and map pack its doing 27.2 on a combine of cruising and flooring down bypasses Lowest has been a run to wales and back doing 14.6

thanks guys i used the guide link to get the part number of the box and googled that tracked it down to a ford parts site and got it all delivered for 84 quid. i found that most places called it a cable assembly too! Will be using the thread later to install thanks folks!

Hi folks ive seen the previous threads on here about this product and really want one but 2 issues i have currently: will this even fit my stereo (ford single disc non dab unit with 3.5mm jack aux in) where the hell do you get them from ive trawled the net and rang round all 3 of my local ford dealers and none even know it exists Any help guys id really appreciate it

Scrap yards will be come your best friend i found a ghia and got the variable wiper stalk, door handles, front footwell lights and heated seat wiring loom for 15 quid. Get yourself some "projector" lense angel eyes for the proper ford oem xenon headlight look, usa spec rear lights with the clear indicator lenses too also try find a dimming interior switch if u can find one. Ghia map lights are good too and cheap Interior trip computers are a majour faf but if you have the time theres a guide and a few threads on here with how to do's The leather seats are ace just need to check the hair bags havent gone off in them though and check what model there out of ghia seats have pretty much noside support so if you want to drive your focus properly check there out of a zetec or edge etc Rs's are pretty basic in truth they have next to no luxury just air con and ace seats

I run my tuned st on v-power but in that you can tell a small difference it runs smoother on v-power because the ecu is modded to suit the higher octane fuel on a normal engine though its all in your mind trust me tried this out before on my old 1.6 and 2.0's

Hello folks just a few things ive been meaning to post about for a while but never got round to do! Focus wiring behind the stero - basically i cant stand that ford sony single shot non dab crap any more and want to put my aftermarket sony one is but cant find any adaptors anywhere for the two (late model focus to sony) just the old ones i assume nothings changed? foc stickers - been trawling through the shop and cant find any decals for the car just a simple FOC.COM or anything need to show my support somehow!

If its a new model its done by a speaker of the air intake (i think) on the older ones its just depends what exhaust you fit!
