  1. Thank you JW, I'll look for a replacement unit on our fav auction site Dave
  2. Apologies if this has been asked previously, I'd like to play music via USB stick in my 2008 Mk2 car, I've purchased a dashboard mounted USB socket silver coloured that fits beside the heated rear window switch & a connecting 3.5mm jack plug that fits into the white coloured aux socket in the glove box, fitted it in the car & it doesn't work. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283116215310?ViewItem=&item=283116215310 I've fed the cable with the 3.5 mm jack from behind the glove box & drilled a small hole near to the aux socket & fed the cable through so the 3.5mm jack fits neatly into the socket. The aux socket does have a wired feed to the back via a small socket I have a standard ford 6000cd radio fitted that has the aux button near to the top left side. has anyone else got such a set up to work ? david
  3. Whilst trying to install a USB socket in the section beneath the heater controls in my 2008 1.6 Zetec TDCI I found this wiring socket behind a blank faceplate, does anyone know what it's meant to connect to ? Anyone please ? david
  4. I bought a code from an E Bay seller & received the correct code back from me in minutes look here; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202306471459, his seller name is AutoRadio Codes & it cost me just 99pence David
  5. I'm thinking of buying a second unit (with some of the original wiring loom) from a e bay breaker that I 've used for another replacement part & trying it out if it were no louder. I wonder if I were to buy a used second hand unit if I could connect it up by the use of scotch lock cable clips colour coded wire to colour coded wire & have a unit closer to the front of the car
  6. Thank you to all for their help & confirmations
  7. Thanks guys, It's a factory fitted unit, any ideas are appreciated David
  8. Has anyone else found that the volume on the reversing sensor module is low? I find that I have to turn the radio off & windows up to hear it, I've searched the car & think that my module is behind the trim to the drivers side in the boot area, does anyone know of a way to increase the tone level? Yes I know I could buy an earing aid or two or even a new module 🤣🤣 but I'd hope to find a cheaper method thanks David
  9. Hi , Recently replaced this pipe on my 2008 1.6 TDCI car, take a look here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INTERCOOLER-TURBO-HOSE-PIPE-6M516K863HB-1496240-FORD-FOCUS-II-VOLVO-S40-1-6TDCI/222892836909?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649. It's quite easy to fit although its easier to reach the bottom hose clip if you remove the right hand headlight David
  10. Thank you Tom, I'll take the engine cover off again & check fully, thumbs up if it's the O ring 👍
  11. Could some one shed a light on this fault please ? 58 plate focus 1.6 tdci There appears to be a slight diesel leak that's seems to be coming from under the grey coloured top of the injector, (I mean the piece with the part numbers on) The pipe is tight so it's not coming from there, & the fuel just sits on the top of the injector itself thank you David
  12. Thank you to all who have responded to my enquiry. I'll look at the autobeam bulbs but will more likely stay with the diadem ones, as I 've felt the heat emitted from one of those inline resistors and seen the melted wire that the resistor had been touching before. again thank you to all david
  13. Morning to all & thank you for any /all advice. I've recently purchased a 59 plate 1.6tdci 2.5 model focus, & have replaced the indicator bulbs with Canbus error free bulbs, this has caused hyper flash; can any other member who has fitted LED bulbs tell which ones they used or will the standard non error free ones work. again thanks for replies david
  14. One for future use. I needed a code for my car & used Autoradiocodes on e bay & cost me just 99p. The seller replied within a few minutes with the correct code & instructions on how to input https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-RADIO-CODE-STEREO-CODES-PIN-CAR-UNLOCK-FAST-SERVICE-6000CD-6006CDC/202306471459?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 No problems here
