  1. I have now and it makes no difference. If I try to voice dial eventually the radio gives in saying no speech and if I answer a call on the stereo or steering wheel button. The caller can hear nothing at all from me
  2. Tried it but no luck Thanks anyway I can accept a call through the stereo and hear everything just no speech from me in the car
  3. Tried it but no luck Thanks anyway
  4. Thanks Sober why it plays up like this?
  5. I have a mk3 focus with ford hands free Does anyone know where the microphone is as I keep getting the message "speech not recieved!
  6. Any idea how i can sort it without replacing the heater controls?
  7. I think that the pawl that produces a much duller click like on the other 2 control knobs is slightly off position as it still operates though pretty stiff just wondered if It could be sorted without replacing whole control unit
  8. IHAVE A 1.6 TDCI AND JUST LATELY THE RIGHT HAND HEATER CONTROL KNOB THAT CONTROLS THE DIRECTION OF FLOW OF AIR HAS BECOME VERY STIFF AND THE CLICKING NOISE IS MUCH LOUDER AND HIGH PITCHED WHEN I OPERATE THE KNOB IS THERE A REMEDY?

  10. in my mkii though i didnt find the cause, my battery wasnt holding its charge over night. but despite this registered nearly 14 volts but useless and pathetic amperage which is more importatnt
  11. yeah motd last week and being a mate of mine i got the examiner to give that corner extra grief with the old tyre bar to make sure everything is ok and it was. could feel the run off in the disc when turning the wheel by hand. i thought i had given the hub a damn good clean when i fitted the discs a couple of months ago. just never had 2 consecutive bad discs warped particularly on the same side before. rac man has shown me how to clamp a decent set square to the calliper resting on the disc and to turn the disc to the run off point. then i can use feeler guage to measure the run off amount.wi
  12. must admit sounds fairly normal though perhaps a little louder than mine
  13. my mkii mondeo 1.8 petrol used to retire a new battery every 2 years! i never got to the bottom of it! got wierd symptoms when it was playing up aswell. whentrying to start the car as the engine turne over slowly, the wipers used to sweep slowly even when they were turned off??? the first hint i ever got however was the central locking being really sluggish. ie unlocking one door after the other over about 4 seconds instead of almost instantaneously. there was obviously something wrong with the electrics but never got to the bottom of it before i got rid of it. u could disconnect the central l
  14. ok guys dont do alot of mileage, certainly motorway mileage. i have a mkiii 2.0 tdci on 54 plate and have always had slight vibration on braking from the front as i can feel it thru the steering wheel. every mot including today advises this but passes it because it passes on the brake tester.i am on my second set of tsw discs and pads! previously it has been mentioned that it could be the hub is buckled, but ive never heard of this. if i jack the wheel off the ground i can feel the run off on the disc if i turn the wheel by hand. i am thinking of marking the hub in the centre of the disc and
  15. ok i have seen a diagram of the intercooler pipes and believe the offending item is the turbo intercooler which has oil residue on the botom. my questions are does the oil residue mean its leaking and could this cause the intermittent whistling? also what are the risks to namely the turbo?
