  1. Does anyone know if the tappets are hydrolic or mechanical on a 2012 mk7 fiesta 1.25? And can they be adjusted like on older model cars? The car has 102k on the clock ad is starting to be a bit tappet spunding on start up and cold starts which would seem that the tappets are starting to wear slightly
  2. 2013-2017 are the facelifted cars and are know as the mk7.5
  3. That's seams strange. My 2012 1m25 fiesta style has central locking as standard I thought they all came with it as standard. But yes if it is the 60bhp version it can be remapped to around 90-95bhp as it is the same as the 82bhp version just detuned from factory in lower spec cars
  4. hi, im looking at getting a 2006 transit connect as a cheap tow van, but looking online it only says they can tow 800kg but this doesnt say if thats the braked max or unbraked max limit? does anyone know if theyll pull a braked trailer with a car on that will weigh 1150kg combined??

  6. I don't know, no answer from my local dealer so looks like I'll just have to do it myself. Dont mind doing it myself, but would have preferred to have Ford do it lol pretty gutted it's started to rust like that already especially when it's only a 2012 car.
  7. I plan to but may aswell get Ford to do it if I can lol
  8. Its quite a bad large patch has went through yet, but if left another year it most likely will. I'd rather have it fixed before it turns into a hole and rusts through. There's other bits of surface rust under the car aswell bit this patch is alot wors with large chunks of the metal lifting away from the surface
  9. Will bra shame cars due to turn 8 years old in June. Not sure if it would also be under it as a majority of the the service history is for how ever the last 3 services have been done by independent garages.
  10. does anyone know how the long the ford corrosion warranty is? just found a bad patch or corrosion on my 2012 fiesta spare wheel well where the backbox heatshild bolts onto.

  13. Ford state every 10 years or 100k miles so yours is definitely due to be changed. Got mine done at 93k as the water pump had started to whine due to a cheap replacement a previous owner had fitted just 2 years before. The water pump timing belt, auxiliary belt etc all come as a kit from Ford, I got mine for £130.38 including vat. Lucky enough my older brother is a mechanic at a vag specialist so he fitted it for me and didn't charge for fitting but it took him just over an hour to do as quite alot needs to be removed to get to it. ie, engine mount, altinator, covers etc. £276 seems abit much but all depends on the speed of the mechanic doing the job. My advice would be to supply the parts yourself then you just get the labour bill and can work out cheaper. I got my kit from Arnold Clark Ford in Shiremoor
