  1. The blue circle is Ford’s eco driving coach, the thicker the circle, the more economical you are driving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Had mine done at Hartwell, there are a few of them dotted around the southeast I think. Did you ask your dealer to contact Ford about the update, when I took mine in, they were very aware about it. But that could also because I haven’t left them alone since I’ve had the car! 3. Car picked up this morning, software fix applied, along with another couple of updates (ABS module and hill start module iirc). They didn’t manage to fix my Ford PassConnect problem, but that’s for another thread. I guess now only time will tell whether the update has cured the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Just dropped the car off at the dealers and they confirmed they will be applying the software update [emoji847] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Haha indeed... My car is booked to go into the dealer for the second time with this issue on Monday. I’m hoping the software fix will be applied and finally this issue will be sorted once and for all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Inside information?? [emoji23] I hope this is true Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Mine went into limp mode, message had been coming up for a couple of weeks, it was booked into the dealer but this happened before it had a chance to go in. I had to get ford rescue (or whatever it’s called) out and have them recover the car to the dealer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I believe they, although they are being very quiet about it. I have emailed Ford UK as my car has suffered from this filter problem and the oil pressure switch failure, but they are not responding to me. Great customer service!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hi Andy, Your dealer is talking ****. There is clearly a fault here, from what I’ve heard it is software related. When it goes into the dealer, they should be doing a static regen to clear the filter. Although this is only a temporary fix until Ford fix the problem with a software update, it should give another 800ish miles before the problem reappears. Not what you expect from a brand new car! 11. Hi Stanley, The dealer should really be doing a static regen in it for you. Without this you run the risk of the car going into limp home mode as mine did, especially as your journeys aren’t particularly long. If I were you, I’d be back on the phone to them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hi Marinero, This is 100% just the oil pressure switch. Hopefully Ford have plenty in stock now so you have the your car back quickly. I totally agree that it’s not a good feeling, I went from driving a 13 year old car to a brand new focus to avoid issues like this. I’m currently in the process of taking this up with Ford UK, so will be interesting to see what they come back with. Hope you get your car back soon, let us know how you get on. 13. I’ve just picked my car up from the dealer due to the petrol exhaust filter. Had the car (focus mk4 titanium 1.0) for 5 weeks, exhaust filter warning started about two weeks ago, then got to the point where it was appearing every day. My journey to work is main A roads for about 20 miles each way, so it gets a good run every day. The car was booked to go in for them to look at it, but the day before on my way to work it went into limp home mode. Car was recovered to the dealer, who have done a static regen on the filter. I’m not convinced this has ultimately solved the problem, personally I think this will be a short term fix and I can see myself back at the dealer again in a few weeks. There must be some underlying problem that is causing the filter not to regen automatically. Plus the fact that I also suffered from the oil pressure switch problem, it means that for the 5 weeks I’ve owned the car, it’s been back at the dealer for over a week. I think I’ll be taking this up with Ford directly now!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hopefully they have a good stock of switches now, had to wait for mine as Ford didn’t have the part in stock and was on back order. Funnily enough, as soon as the dealer enquired with Ford about paying for a hire car, the part was due in 2 days. Strange how the thought of having to shell out money can make things move quicker. With a bit of luck you should only be without the car for a day or two, although I guess this depends on your dealer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hi Zac, Sorry to hear you have suffered this problem too. When I had mine done, there was no explanation from the dealer, just a new switch fitted (after a week of waiting for the part). Judging by the amount of these engines out there and the number of reported problems, my money is on a bad batch of switches. Hope you get it sorted quickly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
