I recently bought a 2009 1.6 diesel Focus mk2.5 facelift and have started doing a few little tweaks to the body the usual body kits, interior mods etc. I’m trying to increase the sound of the engine to really maximize that diesel sound..I’ve been looking at the cone air filters and straight pipes etc but I’m wondering is there any cheap way to improve the sound to get a few coos and bangs and spits from the exhaust, without spending hundreds on K&N filters and induction kits etc. any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi! First of all sorry to the whole community. I know this has been asked several times, i did my search on internet and in this forum but still confused. I recently met a guy with a fiesta zetec S and his turbo sound was awesome! I asked him and he said just a dump valve. Ive been searching about it and it seems that there is a lot of brands selling this valves. The best till now ive seen is turbosmart ones. Then i searched here, and looks like its a wrong thing to do because the fiesta uses a recirculating air valve system and from what i read it makes sense! And also that for better sound and performance, its recommended a induction kit. But wich? So many out there i dont know wich is the best or a good one. My doubt is that, the turbosmart valve, replaces the stock one so, is it still not a good option? thanks from before and sorry again! cheers!
Good evening all, I have a 2008 Focus ST2 (facelift model) It has the Mountune MR290 Pack on it. Everything has been great, recently had a Blow Off Valve fitted, this is where the issue has started. When I'm driving it easy and i get to approx 2800 rpm the engine feels like it retards a little bit, then everything goes back to normal once i pass this rpm. The place where i bought the Forge valve from said it was an issue with the focus when its the exact point that the vacuum changes from negative to positive pressure (i may have that the wrong way around but I'm sure you all will know) I do love the sound of the car and i think that the blow off valve makes it that little bit better, but can't live with this 'miss' every time I'm driving the car steady. Can anyone offer any advice please, other than boot it everywhere :-) Many Thanks in advance Glen
