Hi all. I have a 2007 Mondeo with the bare bones cd6000 stereo in it. I have the opportunity to replace it with a cd6000 from a 2010 mondeo but what I would like to know is whether the 2010 version has Bluetooth connectivity, or is it exactly the same as the 07 version? Obviously, no point replacing the one if it is the same! Thanks!
  2. Hi everyone, Looking for a bit of help. I have recently bought a 2006 Focus LX with a CD6000 and want to fit an AUX cable. There is an AUX button. I've researched all I can and am a bit stumped so hoping someone will know. I checked behind the glove box, there's nothing there. I have taken out the radio to fit the cable, and all the cables into the radio are held together in a large black clip. The AUX cable fits where it's supposed to with the rest of the cables unplugged, but does not fit into or through the large black clip that holds the rest of the cables in place. Has anyone encountered this before, and has any advice on what to try next? I thought to remove all the cables from the clip and plug them all in separately, but some seem to built directly into the clip. Any help appreciated. Kieran
  3. Hi! First post. I have a Mondeo MK IV 2014 with a 6000CD radio. First owner did not buy the bluetooth option. A new law here in Sweden, from feb 1 2018, forbids any handheld phones. I do hope I could retrofit my car with the bluetooth module. I have Googled myself blue..... in finding the correct part number an and some instructions on Youtube of how to do it. I don't need USB, just want my phone to work. I think there is a built in microphone from factory, but I am not sure. Is it? Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi folks - apologies if I've posted in the wrong section... I recently bought a cable online to plug into the back of my CD 6000 (KW2000 model) which has an aux button on the front but nothing in the glove box and nothing plugged in at the back. I followed some youtube videos on how to install it and have plugged it into the wiring harness at the back but nothing is happening when I plug my phone in. Anyone have any experience of this? I even held down the central knob for 15 seconds as recommended to restart the unit but still nothing. Obviously I have tried both volume on the device and the radio at full min and max. Many thanks in advance for any responses. Rob

Which Radio Do I Need To Buy?

Hello Just purchased first ever Focus, it is the last of the mk2's before the 2.5 on an 08 plate, there is no stereo in it, I can see from various places on the internet it came with the CD6000 model, problem is on Ebay there is loads of different ones, which is the right one? The Sony MP3 version would be great, will it work? What is the best one I can fit in it for easy plug and play? Thanks in advance
  6. Hi all, recently ordered an aux in plug for my cd6000 but the one i received didn't fit. The plug didn't look as though it would fit in any of the free openings on the back of the stereo. I have the rounded version of the cd6000 ( i do wish they would give them different names) so I just wanted to know if anyone could recommend an aux in plug which works with this version Thanks
  7. My dad has just purchased a 57 plate Focus ST, we bought the car yesterday and as we were driving it back home I had a play around with its Radio/Sat Nav system. The radio didn't work and the bluetooth audio sound quality was diabolical. The plan to solve this is that we would like to take out this aftermarket radio and put in a standard ford radio/CD player with no Sat Nav. If we were to purchase something like this: would the change over with the wiring be simple or will we have to get adapters to make the radio and CD to work? Many thanks.
