  2. Hy guys. At first sorry for my language, I'm from Slovenia ;) Focus 2004 1.6 petrol 74kW So, I had faulty VSS (speed needle dropping to 0) and I replaced it with new aftermarket sensor. There comes new problem :D The speed needle is waveing/oscilating for about 5-10km/h (attached gif). I tried to replace it with another new sensor (other manufacturer) and still same problem. Forscan did found 2 DTCs: P1000 and P0723. I already did clean contact, try to find some faulty cable, but no luck. I also attached PrtScr from Forscan live, if it helps (VSS, VSS_OBD, OSS).This was recorded barely moving. Any suggestions what should try to fix? Regards, Martin
  3. Hello. Can anybody help, The speedometer and milage display doesn't wrk on my fiesta, the abs, engine management light is on and the brake system light is on. The mileage can be read until diving off. I have recently had a driver side front wheel bearing changed, and the abs sensor (same side) changed. Odb2 code comes up p0500, vehicle speed sensor A. Where/what is sensor A? Thanks....
  4. My speedo has been dropping occasionally since I got it - the other day it dropped altogether and the EML came on I've ordered a new sensor - has anyone fitted one of these ? Thanks
  5. Hi, my ka starts fine. Idle is fine. Seems to drive in limp mode. Code reader returns P0500 Speed sensor. Does anyone know where this is located? Many thanks. Luke.
  6. Hey Recently i replaced my speed sensor thats located on the gear box, and in as most speed sensors this one was stuck in there after much hassel of trign to get it out for a whole day i managed to fit the new one...... but during the prosses half of the sensor dropped into the gear box, and i just watched it disapere into the void of oil. i was hoping it would just grind away being a bit of plastic ,but sadly it has not, can anyone think of any quick fixes for this, is there anthing i can remove to gain enough acess into the grad box to fish it out? any help would be apprecated as my girlfriend is stressign at me as on and off she loses 2nd-4th-and reverse. many thanks for reading this. Chris
  7. Hey, I am new here but have a question that is repeated on a number of forums... I have a 2006 Ford Ka 1.3, a few days back the speedo stopped working and then I ended up with a with a mil light on. I ran a diagnostic myself and found that the Vehicle speed sensor is faulty. I followed teh manual I had ans was unable to find the sensor at all. I checked where they said but the manual is for the earlier model ka. With my 2006 model it is a duratec engine with a different gearbox. The model is fitted with abs - could the wheel sensors act as the speed sensor too? My question is... where is the speed sensor mounted... and whats the easiest way to get to it? Any advice would be appreciated (pictures even more so.) Thanks in advance to any replies!!!
