Remote locking

Hi all

Thanks for taking time to read this post.

I am very very new to the scene and just as a 'challenge' I thought I would install remote central locking to my Ka Collection 1.3l. It is a great runner, which would be nicer with remote locking ha!

I've used scotch locks to tap into the 12V live feed, unlock and lock cables thanks to this video (

)

I just need some advice on how to ground the black cable, electrical tape and splice the cable to the body work at the bottom of the door?

 

What i have got setup is in the picture:
