5 year old Ford galaxy Water pump failure

Featured Replies

Hi all I have a 2017 ford galaxy and the water pump failed today and is going cost €1500 to repair I was wondering if this is a common fault and is it something ford should be covering the cost of

Water pump failure after 5 years is a bit extreme for me any feed back would be welcome

€1500?? The price of a water pump is about €60, I would suggest you get another quote...

I assume that price is for a solid 'Titanium' water pump. Maybe set your sights a little lower and just buy the solid 'Gold' one for only €1000 😉

Or

Just buy a standard genuine Ford water pump made of some kind of alloy for less than €100

£1500 is possibly what his local ford dealership tried to sting him for, or hes done more damage than stated

Water pump failed and took out the cambelt perhaps?
