So I bought my first car as a little side project, and would like help with the specific power steering oil & transmission oil for this car, I’ve checked my manual, Haynes and euro car parts but I am confused as to what oil is needed

    Hi,

    That is an interesting choice for a first car to work on. The gearbox on these is actually a manual gearbox, it's the same as every other manual Mk6 Fiesta inside. It just has electric motors outside to operate the clutch and gearshift automatically. So this gearbox doesn't need automatic transmission fluid, just normal manual fluid. 75W-90.

    These use fully hydraulic steering and I believe it'll be red fluid on a 2006 model. But Ford did switch from red to green in the mid-2000s so there is debate around which one is correct during the crossover years.
