Focus Sport 07 Fron Door Latches

Featured Replies

Man o man this has been doing my head in for 3 years and now its both front

doors it time to do something about it.

2007 Focus Sport owned from new....

Front drivers door used to not close corrrectly it would bounce back but only

during frost so i had this down to just winter causing it.

Now the front 2 doors have a problem closing at anytime of year, when you

close the door it only half catches on the lock you need to close it with the

exact amount of force a gram to much force and it wont close.

The doors just kind of half close....

Read about recalls with earlier models and also read ford still use the parts

on my focus...

Where do i head will new door latches cure this ? dont wanna throw money away

but its a pain.

Thanks

Mark

Have you given the locks a good blasting with

WD40?

It may well also be a problem with the lock solenoids.
