Hi (extreme novice mechanic), can someone advise me how to replace the heater resistor on a ford focus 2007 titanium

the blower is only working on settings 3 & 4 nothing on 1 & 2

i've seen some you tube vids but they don't cover my model. is it located behind the glove box or underneath to the right behind the plastic panel?

Don't want to start removing things until i'm sure where it is?

help would be greatly appreciated

    Looking at the Haynes Manual

    You need to remove the fuse/junction box & the glovebox

    The resistor should then be easy to spot...but the picture in the HM isn't exactly clear

    Another heater resistor pack bites the dust. Same thing just happened to my 05 focus 1.6 tdci (fan stopped working on position 1 and 2). Why is it always when you put a car in the garage (just had the timing belt and water pump changed) that other things go wrong???

    Anyway, it is a bit fiddly and you'll nee a longish torx (size 15 if i remember correctly, could be 20) to reach the screws on the terminal. Then it's just a pull out and swap. Many other posts and guides out there showing you the location. Only did it last night but, hopefully it'll last.
