Faint Beep Noise From Boot/roof Storage Area On My Streetka

Featured Replies

Hi, can anyone help. I've had a new battery replaced and all is fine but I had this faint beep noise sounds like its coming from the boot/roof storage area. This to be fair did happen once months ago before my battery went flat and was replaced.

This beep is very faint, it was going while car was locked and when I got in and when I turn the engine on the alarm went on but just a short burst. After ten mins of messing around with key fob and opening and shutting doors and boot it stopped.

Is this s sensor on the way out? Can I just take a fuse out to stop these sensors working. I dont even mind not having an alarm. It's stored in a garage at night. Don't want to pay silly money out if I can just deactivate the sensors or the car alarm if that stops all the problems with alarms ect. It's an 04 winter edition streetka. Any help would be great but thinking its either the sensor on boot etc.

Thanks guys

Tracey

try the following

disconnect the earth from the battery for 10 mins then reattatch it

close bonnet lock all doors with keyfob (remote central locking) and start the engine.

it should reset every thing or you can leave the earth off the battery longer as that may do the trick.

make sure you have your radio code handy as you will need it
