Streetka Rear Lights

Featured Replies

I have recently bought a 2004 StreetKa, great fun driving but have discovered that the rear O/S rear light has a significant amount of water in it. We have taken the unit of the car, disconnected the wiring and are now trying to remove the bulb holders to change the bulbs. We are turning the holder anti clockwise as far as we can get it to go, seems to line up with a notch in the back onf the unit. The manula then says just pull it out. If only it was that easy, they just don't want to come out.

I have 2 questions:

1: Is water inside the lights a common problem as there is no visible damage to the lights? (I drilled a couple of 1mm holes inthe back of the lighs at the bottom to stop the water building up again and hopefullty let some air in to help dry it out)

2: Any advice on how to get these litle tricky devils out without damaging the wiring, which is virtually the only part you can get hold of to try and lift the bulb holder out?

Thanks

I gave up after about an hour trying to renmove them and put the lights back in
