Just Bought 03 Ka - List Of Fault Codes Please Help!

Featured Replies

Ok so I picked up a fairly cheap low mileage 03 Ka 1.3 Duratec in the weekend. Just using it as a cheap 2nd car. I've used it about 4 times (50 miles total) and already had a couple of issues with it:

1. Drive of seven miles radiator temp light came on for about a minute towards end of journey

2. Trip computer reset itself last night and needed a 2nd attempt to start this morning

3. High MPG - quarter of tank gone already

4. Really low revs, nearly cutting out on cold start this evening. Needed lots of revs and clutch work just to get it off the line.

So I plugged in a OBDII sensor and got the following codes:

P0107

P0113

P0122

P0134

P0172

P0341

B1602

At lot would appear to relate to the O2 sensors and may explain the general high mpg and rough idling today.

The head gasket looks ok i.e. no white mayo in the oil cap.

SoI guess my question is where to start? I've read a lot of ppl suggest new plugs and HT leads. Should I clear the codes first and see what comes back?

Well I'm no expert on fault codes but I had P0134 when I first got my mk5 and it turned out to be a faulty post cat lambda sensor.

Hope this helps
