Mk3 Focus Estate Recommendation For A New Driver?

Featured Replies

My neighbour, also with a fondness of Foci, wants to buy a Focus Estate for her 20 year old student daughter. Who has only literally, just passed her test this week. Accepting the insurance will be prohibitive for new driver, she wants something that is no older than 3-4 years.

Apparently the student daughter has a lot stuff to move about with her course (Marine Biology), so it needs to be an estate. She won't get everything in, in the more obvious choice, for a new driver, of a Fiesta or Ka

I don't know the Mk3 well enough, to suggest, what would be best.

Any recommendations?

Mk 2.5 titanium or mk3 zetec.

Diesels if doing lots of miles.

1.0 ecoboost 125 if not enough miles for a diesel on the mk3.

Only thing is that the diesel option on the mk3 would probably be the 1.6 DV6 which is a bit difficult to recommend.
