Clutch Release Bearing Squeak

Looking like a need this part which is £51 from ford parts uk website, any insight on how this is to be change, price of job is swaying towards 1.jpggearbox of/ gearbox not taken of, not to sure



The whom gearbox has to come out if its squeaking try wd40 on the rear of the clutch pedal

If you're changing a release bearing you're as well doing a whom clutch kit a garage will take around £309 minimum that's mainly labour

As I say if it ain't broke leave it alone

Mine squeaks on ocassion too,

Nothing broke just very annoying,its only when moving of in 1st gear it happen, problies will happen if set of in 2nd or 3rd but what melon would do that.

Cant describle the squeak just ford said its release bearing.

would i need to access from under car or can i get to it inside footwell, not to sure if it will be more towards engine needs lubricating

The gearbox needs to be removed to access the release bearing.

cheers jamie, was quoted £290 for whole kit so after xmas is over and have some spare cash might just get full kit done and its out of was, £290 is worth getting shot of squeak

Please tell me that your not just having the release bearing etc changed

While its apart change the clutch

definatly not mite as well get kit and save on 2 labour charges....290 for kit and fitted so after xmas will be getting done
