Have a 2002 Focus 1.8 TDDI sitting around the 115.000 mileage mark. Now for the last 6 months especially on cold weather it's taking a lot of cranking to get the car started. Last week I went to start the car and it wouldn't crank. All the lights went dim on the dash so I suspected the battery. I managed to get a few people to give me a push and jumped her and away I went. Now I'm dismissing alternator as I presume after a while the lights would dim to nothing and this isn't the case. Once we gave her a push it was like nothing was wrong. New battery later and still same issue. Now I suspect starter motor? Any other advice please on what it could be?
