Sony Stereo

Featured Replies

Ok so we've just got a 56(2007) plate ghia with the Sony stereo. I've a question about Bluetooth.

The phones connect just fine, the hands free and the voice controls work but there's no media output. Is this normal?

I would've thought such a high spec vehicle would have something that widespread as standard.

Thanks in advance.

Jazz

Yep - it's normal. The standard bluetooth doesn't support media.

There is a Ford bluetooth module that does...no idea on cost or availability though

Thanks Sean.

Anyone know where I can get one of those modules or what it's called? I've got hands free operation and voice activation.

To rectify this, I bought a bluetooth receiver which plugs into the 3.5mm jack inside the central storage box. This one is battery powered, but rechargeable and lasts for many hours - cost under a tenner. There are quite a few on Amazon. Very easy way to add this nice functionality, but does seem daft not to allow media output on the high spec stereo!
