Hi all

          Im new to the ford owners club, i picked up my ford focus c max 1.8 tdci ghia yesterday second hand. As i was driving today and i went to turn right i seem to of lost power steering for a few seconds then it came back. It has not done it when i turn left. Any clues what it could be please.

    Ok driven home it did it again but this time the pressure just dissappered and it has not done it again since.

    You never know the car could of been standing on the forecourt sometime

    I'd take it for a longer drive out, try and see if it does it

    With full lock or half lock on the wheel

    Also listen to see if the steering is louder on that side

    UPDATE

    Ok i have been out for a few drives now and the problem is still there. It is only there at the start of the journey i have also notice a whinning sound at full lock the noise is not loud again only at start of journey. I tried looking at the oil levels but i cant get to it and the book says does not require checking.
