Hi

I am new to the forum and I just went to inspect a 2014 Ka Edge for purchase and when I went to check the chassis plate and engine numbers they were not where I thought they would be. The Vin was visible in the passenger window but I couldn't see a chassis plate that is usually in the slam are under the bonnet and try as I might I couldn't find an engine number either.

I have looked all over the internet and couldn't find any info for the MK2 Ka's only the MK 1's.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated as I am hoping to buy the vehicle tomorrow and I left a deposit today to hold the car but I would like some piece of mind that all's well with the vehicle .

I ran a online check on the car and its come up with a VIN number which tally's and an engine number that I cannot find at all and as for the chassis plate I looked under the bonnet and in the door slams but there is only tyre size/pressure info there .

I cant believe I am struggling to find this important information but maybe I am just being thick lol.

should on the right door pillar, you wont find an engine code.
