Turning over but not firing

Featured Replies

Hi, new to forum. I've bought my daughter a 2004 Ka it was running ok but now won't start It turns over. We have replaced the coil pack, spark plugs, head casket and had the cylinder head skimmed and pressure tested but still no joy. We're fairly sure it's not the battery either. Anyone any other ideas?

replace the ht leads and then if no good have the car tested as you may have hit the timing out on the cam when the head was done.

why did you have the head skimmed and the other parts if it was a runner ??

Hi delboy, thanks for your reply. It started jumping and had lack of power when pressing on accelerator, then had a misfire in one of the cylinders. Then just died.

I'll give the HT leads a go and let you know

All sorted. HT leads off and on again, plus throttle sensor has come loose. All now running again. Thanks all
