miles per tank

Featured Replies

I was having a look at my vehicle on parkers and it states i should be getting 508 miles per tank.

Im lucky if i get 300 per tank. Does anyone know how accurate this is? what is everyone else getting?

What can be done to increase miles per tank?

Hi,

It's not at all accurate; it probably takes in to account the reserve and will be calculating the range based on the official MPG figures which is probably 47ish mpg and I doubt you'll get anywhere near that unless you are on a long run.

300 miles is low though! I've been getting about 400 miles from a tank in my Mk3

I get 300 to 350 on my MK2 1.6. It's pretty ropey around town!

From doing a bit of maths it sounds like you're doing approximately 31mpg, which around town is as I'd expect.

I used to do all motorway and get about 350.

now is pretty much all city

Last one was my highest 350 on momentum no motorways

I used to get 1200 in my mk3 1.6 diesel.

But then they updated my trip computer with the correct software. =D Now about 650.

I'm currently getting about 430 in my 1.6 mk1.5.

I do about 300 miles a week commuting to work, which is about 2/3rds motorway and 1/3rd driving in London.

Think the engine is properly bedded in now, after 140,000 miles (50k were mine) :)

I will get 280 mile off £30 round town n that's booting it now n again also, I have had just over 500mile on full tank £65 that was motorway n its focus 1.8 tdci remapped

Hmm I may have to redo my math then cos 650 seems optimistic compared to others.

Getting a solid 55mpg with very mixed driving, no motorway, according to the dash.

Hi I have a 1.6 petrol and get about 380 /  390. Not good really
