MAP sensor pressure request p2099. Pressure range?

Ford Focus 1.8 tdci 2007

I have had a problem with a P2099 code (Low boost pressure). I suspect the sensor as when using a scanner to read live data it is reading 28.6 ins Hg when the engine is off and changes very little when driving (perhaps 26 to 31). I dont know if this is a normal range. I would like to measure the actual pressure by connecting a gauge to the port where the map sensor tube normally connects. Any ideas of what value I should see?
