1.4 CVH running problems

Hi Ive just had a replacement engine fitted to my Mk 6 Escort, problem is - it constantly ticks over at around 1500 revs, with a cloudy exhaust. There are no air leaks (new gaskets - and checked) I have been told that the temperature sensor is broke and that the ecu now believes that the engine is cold ALL the time, so making the mixture rich. What sensor is this and where can I find it? Please help

hi i have a mk5 cvh cfi and the air temp sensor is at the back or the inlet it should be the same if you hav a cfi inlet unit .

i have a website of where you can buy them so u can get a picture of what it is .

there are two different types one for the efi and one for the cfi

hope this cures ur problem

The temp sensor is i think at the back of the engine but have you thought about the...
