Focus Outside Temperature Display.

I have just changed my 57 plate Focus Ghia for a 60 plate Focus Sport. The outside temperature display on my new car is given in Fahrenheit (F) and I would like it to read in Celsius©. I have read through the owners handbook and tried all combinations in the car settings without success. Can anyone help me to change the units to Celsius?

It was written here many times already :P

Switch onboard computer to display temperature, press and hold reset button, this will change F degrees to C degrees.

Set the Temperature in the centre of the display and then hold in the reset button until the display changes to C, this may take several seconds before the display changes. We all get fooled by this one.

Its always worth a quick search on the forum before you ask a question! if nothing else it can save you a couple of hours waiting for a reply, especially a trivial question, as it gets asked very often!

the ford handbook does not explain this correctly,it seems alot of people get caught out with the temp gauge.I bet half the fords running around are still set in fahrenheit

O c'mon, that is not right.

Focus owners manual page 87

Note: The units of measure for outside

air temperature and the automatic climate

control can be toggled independent of

the other displays. When showing the

outside air temperature, press and hold

the SET/RESET button for a short time.

This is clear and easy to understand information. Problem is people don't read manual, why should they, this is just a car, they know everything already  And these are the results.
