There seems to be loads of confusion (for me anyway) when it comes to buying one of these. There's talk of Chinese fakes, different chip sets, non-compatibility with this or that etc etc.

I just need to know which one I need that's going to let me do everything that you'd expect if it was yours :)

Also, are these modified readers only suitable for Ford and Mazda or can it still be used on other cars with 'Torque' or other apps??

P.S. Going to use it with a HP Pavilion Notebook with windows 10 64 bit, or on my S6 Edge occasionally if it'll let me??

    Unless your S6 somehow has USB on it, the Elm327 won't work on it.

    Most of the ones on ebay are fakes, so the recommended one from people on here is from Tunnelrat Electronics found here.
