Car juddering randomally

Basically my car randomly starts juddering/jumping really bad through the whole car  at random times at high and low rpm, but it goes as soon as i let off the throttle , its a 2003 focus 1.8 tdci ltd edition, i was thinking engine/gearbox mounts but then it would be al the time wouldnt it? not just at random times? any opinions would be great as im baffled by it
